After Chapter 1 Question

Let me start this off by saying this is NOT a binding vote, simply a gauge of people's interest so you don't need to worry about its results too much.

Once I've completed Chapter 1, I'll have the choice of moving immediately to Chapter 2 or pivoting and trying out something different. Also, important to note that even if I do try something else out for a bit, Famished is far from abandoned.

The other options on the table are the following:
A Monster Girl Rancher game set in the Famished setting wherein the player takes on the role of a male farmer navigating the world of business, cattle, and neighbors. The focus would be on managing a farm and the girls thereon.

A tactical game wherein you lead a band of vorish mercenaries to glory, gold, and full bellies. Think darkest dungeon or war tales but with vore.

Another RPG but more focus on Sci-fi elements than fantasy. Lead your ship to the depths of the cosmos! And the babes hidden out there!

Comments

It's been pushed back to being reworked along with everything else when we get to chapter 2

Katar

is the new combat no longer happening I would love to watch my hero's occasionally get eaten by snakes or wolfs in combat

George Rhinehart

Sci fi sounds cool. Just imagin all the cool stuff people could fan art about :3 i think all choices are cool, though.

BarsFromMars

Same feeling. While I do appreciate the ideas and concepts, and a farm game set in this universe sounds like a fun twist in gameplay, while a sc-fi varient would be fresh. I've witnesses way too many projects outright die and fizzle due to scope creep. I would say, about 90% of the projects I used to back ended up on the sideline because of teams being refocused on a side project, and sometimes even the side project of a side project, ending in development hell with none of them actually reaching a conclusion as a result.

I follow a number of different creators and i share Jeg's opinion. The number 1 cause of game development death ive witnessed is due to creators biting on more than they can chew and getting burnt out. Id say, write down your ideas but focus on Famished.

Apocalypto

I agree with Gold and Jag!

Gobsnookman

I agree with Jeg as well. Would rather the creator Katar finish Famished and have the project over and done with before moving on to other projects. That is not to say I would not love sci-fy story involving war. While it has been a while since it updated, really like It Came From Lantrum by nerds1 on itch. How the game takes place in a sci-fy world full of evil empires and our heroes must rescue the universe eating one empire soldier at a time.

Gold

It's not that any of the other ideas aren't great, but I've seen time and time again creative people branching off into lots of different things and burning themselves out leaving it all in an unfinished state. I'd like to see you come back too this when Famished is closer to completion rather than just chapter 1 being done

Jeg

I love Famished and want to see more of this world, but I would also be 100% willing to support any other projects you come up with. My favorite choice would be the tactical mercenary idea

ZekromPlayer

while I like the farm idea, I'm very against having a male protagonist since it's just not my specific interest.

Aickavon

Would prefer comtinuing Famished, but if I had to pick, depending on how much focus on the tactical side it would be, that third option is the one who I'd be more interested in.

TheMonsterWithin

I love the idea of diversification especially the farm idea but I'm too invested in Hazel's story and I really want to see where it is goes absolutely love the game you've created!

vin6ent

a sci-fi of famished would be cool. but i want to see more of our girl hazel and how much bigger she can be and alt weight stages in store. this is an awesome game with a lot of potential and awesomeness from a dev who take pride in the work. do what you want my dude, but this is the game i fell in love with and i want to see it bloom
