Ahh this makes a lot of sense now I read it, and is a great idea! Perhaps next time the word any could be added (any Skin colour), that would help those of us like Jason and I who misunderstood it as just a name for the pink. I suppose in the clues each puzzle could use a different colour too, though that seems potentially more complicated to combine with the default palette stuff. I really enjoyed this pack celebrating my favourite time of the year. Thank you for sharing it!!! ❤️

2024-10-18 03:42:27 +0000 UTCThis was really fun! Thanks to both CtC and the setters of this hunt. The extra puzzle was really nice - like juggling 5 x 10 kg balls at the same time :D Keep up the good work!

2024-10-09 09:07:13 +0000 UTCVery enjoyable pack. I have one small query, though. Shouldn't there be cages corresponding to letters D and E in the "Definitely Not Batman" puzzle? It could still be solved without them, but the rules do say that the letters correspond to cages in the grid, and yet D and E don't seem to follow this rule?

2024-10-06 17:47:42 +0000 UTCNegative? My comment was quite positive. I said that the added zooming for the last puzzle was very good. It will more than likely increase the number of solvers, which wouldn't have been the case otherwise.

2024-10-06 10:59:15 +0000 UTCThank you for being so negative about our pack. It is doing wonders for my self-esteem and may actually give me the impetus I need.

2024-10-06 10:01:05 +0000 UTCThe new release with a zooming control on the bonus puzzle is very good. We should've had that version in the first place.

2024-10-05 20:04:14 +0000 UTCi'm not the only one who couldn't see the numbers in the bonus puzzle, right?

2024-10-04 15:58:05 +0000 UTCThere is no such thing as a dumb question. Yours was legitimate and your guess was correct. Submitting a wrong 12-digit code simply by not understanding the labeling of the rows/columns would certainly be hard to digest.

2024-10-04 12:36:55 +0000 UTCYou should be able to just click the link in the pdf on your Macbook, and things should be fine.

2024-10-03 21:45:29 +0000 UTCI have a dumb question... When we count the row and column #, should we start from the top left? Have completed all but the optional puzzle and want to make sure I don't mess up with the wrong digits. Thanks!!

2024-10-03 18:56:31 +0000 UTCwe're making pictures, so the black is appropriate. The easy solution to the visual problem is to solve in an easier color to see then change to black at end to get the picture. Not hard.....

2024-10-03 14:23:11 +0000 UTCI totally agree. Very poor choice of colors indeed.

2024-10-03 08:47:54 +0000 UTCThis is the first time I’ve done Japanese Sum puzzles. It’s been fun so far and I have reached the last 3 fog of war puzzles. Could someone kindly clarify exactly what / where is the recommended web version. I use iPad / MacBook and if I type a puzzle link into my browser I just get an error message. Apologies if I am missing something obvious.

2024-10-03 07:16:14 +0000 UTCwhy use this much black in the puzzles? the blue numbers are not visble very well on a black background

2024-10-03 06:43:58 +0000 UTCI never did a Japanese Sums puzzle before, I like it!

2024-10-02 22:57:43 +0000 UTCWas my first thought. And yes, my skin is roughly that color.
aah
2024-10-02 15:20:35 +0000 UTCIt wasn't that "pink" is skin tone. It was meant to be inclusive so that ANY skin tone color could be used in place of the pink.

2024-10-02 02:31:37 +0000 UTCWe can't draw nearly as well as we can create pixel puzzles. If you want to draw for us, let me know on Discord :) (We will be making more packs!)

2024-10-02 02:31:03 +0000 UTCAnother option to access the default palette is to use a different browser than you usually do for SudokuPad. Or you can use incognito mode, but that might result in losing your progress.

2024-10-01 19:22:28 +0000 UTCHmm. Not so sure that pink should be called "Skin Tone". I'm not personally upset or triggered, but just wanted to point that out, you're good people and this seems like an oversight or error. Cheers!

2024-10-01 16:54:08 +0000 UTCConfirmed!

2024-10-01 15:23:53 +0000 UTCIf you want to reset your color palette, you'll need to remove the line breaks from the JSON string.
