The Jewels of Osiris - unzipped files & Act1 Help
Added 2023-05-01 16:35:00 +0000 UTCHi Patreons,
Please see the Monthly Reward post below/earlier. However it seems that on some devices it is difficult to browse the files in the zip folder, so we are posting them separately here too.
To make sure the Arabic script reads correctly, you might need to use the Word doc that we are now adding to this post.

2023-05-26 09:40:11 +0000 UTCFrustrated that I know the phrase but can't seem to work out any of the sudokus in Act 2! Frustratingly fun puzzle!

2023-05-24 01:49:22 +0000 UTCWhen I do that, I get "blooded by mother tao." Is this correct?
2023-05-20 05:03:41 +0000 UTCI don't even know how I got it. Google translate only gave me the right translation if I deleted all but one of the spaces ... which makes the symbols change? It's very confusing ...

2023-05-18 01:52:16 +0000 UTCThank you, this hint has helped me solve act 2. Only taken a week.

2023-05-10 18:48:09 +0000 UTCWatt is the translation of the last individual part. It seems there are some spaces you have not removed

2023-05-10 17:22:18 +0000 UTCI always obtain : The city of Al Am Watt ... Is that helpful?

2023-05-10 08:55:56 +0000 UTCBefore attempting google translate create a single sequence of the squiggles that you find in Act2 with no spaces keeping in mind it is arabic as opposed to english. Good luck.

2023-05-10 07:57:26 +0000 UTCCorrect translation for part 1 is given. Not for part 2...

2023-05-10 05:41:47 +0000 UTCThe Arabic text is a riddle. Correct translation is posted in the help file in the post above this one.
2023-05-10 05:18:31 +0000 UTCDo you have a translation for what we are searching? I have resolved Act 2 but the translation of arabic text is a total mess :-(

2023-05-09 08:48:48 +0000 UTCCan some kind soul offer a hint as to how to find the password for Act 2? I'm afraid I need something more than, "Just read Act 1 very carefully."
2023-05-08 22:17:28 +0000 UTCThank you! Just this hint was enough to get me unstuck!
2023-05-08 20:35:10 +0000 UTCIt is incredible how with only 1 digit from Map, it is possible to get very far into Ruby
2023-05-07 17:39:14 +0000 UTCMe too :(

2023-05-07 07:23:33 +0000 UTCI enjoy the story accompanying the puzzles. Alas, that's pretty much all I have, since I am completely stuck on the second puzzle after only one digit. I must be missing some critical deduction.

2023-05-06 15:49:24 +0000 UTCThank you to Kenneth. I had been trying letters, upper and lower case, a mixture, all to no avail.

2023-05-03 22:23:16 +0000 UTCThanks for the additional Act 1 document! I was Googling a crash course in Arabic (my mom was right - you do learn something new every day) and this second document does display the Arabic text better! Ah the things we do for a good puzzle :) Thanks very much
2023-05-03 16:12:38 +0000 UTCLooking at it I can't see a way to break symmetry across the leading diagonal so I assumed as much. Thanks!

2023-05-02 12:24:34 +0000 UTCits doable for sure! Don’t give up!

2023-05-02 03:57:06 +0000 UTCLoving this so far, it's incredibly fun and engaging, and the puzzles are elegantly constructed. Although, I will say I'm having a beast of a time with Act 2. It's certainly given me something to do with my day!

2023-05-02 01:50:14 +0000 UTCBased on a skimming of the Patreon-only section of the discord server, I believe that you will need info from other puzzles to solve The Map (and probably others as well). It seems that people are finding their way forward by using the letter/digit equivalents, perhaps? I have only just now gotten in to Act 2 so I am not sure from my own experience.

2023-05-02 00:24:17 +0000 UTCYes I'm stumped by the riddle, I solved the puzzle in 20 minutes and I've been trying to work the password out for over an hour haha
2023-05-02 00:09:24 +0000 UTCNumbers only!
2023-05-01 22:22:01 +0000 UTCI'm at a loss too. I even translated the arabic if Word Translate is accurate and I'm so confused. I solved the puzzle though
2023-05-01 21:59:35 +0000 UTCHi Max, I don't think its a language barrier thing, English is my first language, and I have no clue either, I have read and re-read the overview document and the Act 1 document at least 3 times, and still cannot figure it out, I cant even decide if the password is a number, bunch of letters or a mixture of both
Scott Ramsdale
2023-05-01 20:45:08 +0000 UTCMine said the same and when I figured out the password it let me through to act 2, so if you think it looks right, it probably is!
Michael Lee
2023-05-01 20:04:30 +0000 UTCI finished the sudoku, but I guess I'm missing something. Maybe because English isn't my first language. I read the text multiple times and tried multiple codes.

2023-05-01 19:50:14 +0000 UTCI think i solved the first puzzle, but simply got a message 'looks good as far as i can tell, (puzzle does not include a solution)' Normally these puzzles say your solution is correct. My question is does this puzzle not say specifically that the solution is correct.

2023-05-01 19:40:33 +0000 UTCJust checking, do the puzzles in act 2 solve in order, without needing cryptic digits from later puzzles? Struggling to see how to go forward in The Map
Michael Lee
2023-05-01 18:36:48 +0000 UTCEverything could be a clue, but if you read carefully, the novel tells you what to do (at least for Act I). I hope this doesnt give away too much ^^’
2023-05-01 17:50:50 +0000 UTCI really have no clue how to find the code. Can someone point me in the right direction so I can continue with the second act? It has become a very frustrating experience so far

2023-05-01 17:39:02 +0000 UTCThank you! Much needed. Especially for mobile users :)
