April Reward Pack - Knightmare (Revision)
Added 2023-04-03 07:03:17 +0000 UTCPlease note we have re-uploaded the Knightmare pack (both in the original post and here), with one small revision in puzzle 18. This hasn't stopped some people solving the whole pack already - congratulations to them, but it may help you if you were stuck on that puzzle!
Thanks to Matt Boss for pointing out the required tweak, and to Riffclown for revising the pack.

Do the puzzles disappear on the closing date? I can understand why they would but I was slowly working my way through some of the later puzzles. They're all 404 errors on my open puzzle tabs now.

2023-04-23 02:40:45 +0000 UTCHey, first time doing a puzzle hunt. Is there any special rule about them? I seem to be stuck on number 2, and am wondering if there is something I am missing involving the answer to the first puzzle. I've restarted it about 4 times now, and spent nearly 6 hours on it now, and am completely stumped. I have had several breakthroughs, but, when I finish solving them, always seem to break the puzzle.
2023-04-17 00:16:36 +0000 UTCJust finished and submitter. Puzzle 19 was beautiful. Took a while to get rolling on it, but then it all dropped in place. Thanks for the great puzzles!
2023-04-16 17:47:17 +0000 UTCThank you, Hamish!
2023-04-16 03:20:36 +0000 UTCIf the first number in that row or column is a 2, the first 2 numbers add to the clue outside the grid. If the first number is 3, the first 3 numbers add to the clue outside the grid. If the first number is 4, the first 4 numbers add to the clue outside the grid etc
2023-04-16 00:48:07 +0000 UTCFirst time doing puzzles like this and it's fun. Done with the first 17 puzzles, but not understanding the x-sum rule in puzzle 18. Can someone please explain it to me?
2023-04-15 20:23:21 +0000 UTCThanks for responding Sampath - yes am doing 19 right now but without the final instruction then I will be stuck. Edited : The URL works now! hoorah - submitted
2023-04-15 11:08:14 +0000 UTCYour puzzle 19 spirogenesis had my head spinning with all those referenced 3s. 7x. Fantastic puzzle!!

Wisteria Fall, Fran, Bremster, James Peter, RiffClown, Doran T, dumediat, Randall, DJV, Chilly, Raumplaner, Myxo, Sotek, JeremyDover, Rockratzero. It was great fun to solve these puzzles which had varying degrees of difficulty and I am thankful to all of you for the great time I had solving them.

2023-04-15 09:42:13 +0000 UTCThanks to you and Chilly (above) for responding. I was only checking because I was not able to get the break in. Now that I did everything made sense.

2023-04-15 09:30:45 +0000 UTCIn the meantime you could solve the puzzle 19 using the link provided in the knightmare pdf document where puzzle 19 is described. The solved grid of puzzle 19 is used for getting the final answer for which there is some instruction found in the URL that is not working for you.

2023-04-15 09:28:01 +0000 UTCPlease help: I've solved the first 18 correctly (confirmed), but the resulting tinyurl leads me to a shared drive 'FreeSkunkworksPacks' within which I cannot see the special version of the final puzzle. I've double checked all the final digits of my row 2s and am only using puzzles 6 - 18. Thanks
2023-04-14 19:56:46 +0000 UTCBut, solving the other 18 puzzles is necessary to figure out which digits from puzzle 19 are needed for the final verification. The first line of the rules has the "additional instructions".
2023-04-13 20:32:29 +0000 UTCThat's correct.
2023-04-13 08:48:45 +0000 UTCCan someone please tell me if I am missing something in my understanding . It seems the last puzzle number19 has no given numbers and can be solved independent of the other puzzles. True ?

2023-04-12 08:21:23 +0000 UTC3 would then be in r6 c5. I totally understand the confusion, it bends my brain in a way I don’t like!

2023-04-09 17:15:18 +0000 UTCI am really struggling with the rules on no.19. For examle If there is a 5 in r6 c3 where would 3 be?
2023-04-09 15:27:08 +0000 UTCPuzzle 19 was absolutely beautiful. This whole constraint has done something to my brain, though. I finished the pack 2 days ago and I'm still dreaming about cells that are a knight's move apart. This was like playing tetris in my college days. I would see the pieces when I close my eyes and in my dreams. I loved it though. Many thanks to the constructors. A brilliant pack.

2023-04-09 14:15:30 +0000 UTCCongrats to the Sudoku Skunkwork team for a truly magnificent pack. Puzzle 19 was the 'pièce de résistance'. I really like the Knightmare rule. It generates beautiful logic.

2023-04-05 23:30:43 +0000 UTCI don't have access but if you got the word or phrase from the URL, congratulations on finishing the pack.
2023-04-04 17:29:42 +0000 UTCI have already sent a mail with my solution @crackingthecryptic. Can you see it ?

2023-04-04 15:24:56 +0000 UTCThe correct solution is embedded and confirmed for all puzzles in the pack.. If you'd like to reach out to one of us on Discord, we'd be happy to take a look..
2023-04-04 15:13:32 +0000 UTCThat is correct. The V is very important because of the declared negative constraint.
2023-04-04 13:54:04 +0000 UTCIs the revision only a V in column 5?

2023-04-04 04:52:33 +0000 UTCDoes the final puzzle generate a box "You solved the problem"?.. I don't see my error but apparently it is not correct...
