Added 2022-12-15 13:31:29 +0000 UTCA little bonus video today in which Simon tackles Shadow by tallcat - a curious mixture of sudoku, cave and skyscrapers!
This has a ruleset that seems like kryptonite to Simon at least - utterly bamboozling and fascinating at the same time. Enjoy!!

Rules: Normal sudoku rules apply. The grid must be divided into shaded (wall) and unshaded cells (cave). The cave must form an orthogonally area of cells. Walls must form orthogonally connected regions that connect to an edge of the grid. Digits may not repeat in walls and each wall region must contain a digit denoting the region size. 2 x 2 regions of wall and cave are allowed, and given digits are in the walls (shaded). Clues outside the grid indicate how many numbers are "seen" looking into the grid along the row/column. Numbers are visible when larger than all numbers that appear before it along the line of sight. Cells in clued rows/columns are shaded if the cell IMMEDIATELY before them is larger, otherwise they are unshaded.
