June monthly reward - small update
Added 2022-06-02 13:58:41 +0000 UTCNo matter how much testing is done, when a puzzle pack goes live there's always something that could have been better! This post includes the PBN Patreon Reward puzzle pack, and the Doctoral Program pack, both slightly revised, in one case to make a small clarification to the method of entering the answers, and in another case to tidy up a little ambiguity in one puzzle.
Well done to those (several) who have already completed both packs and sent the right answers! And those (many) who have completed the normal pack. And thanks again to Panthera, Grkles and TheAsylm!

Unfortunately, some puzzles can only be presented in penpa because they are non-standard shapes or types. If you're asking for all puzzle packs to only be standard sudoku, you're limiting the creativity of setters, sadly. Some things are always going to be nearly impossible with certain accessibility constraints, so this is another one of those difficult places where they can't limit too much to the least common denominator. There are still lots and lots of fabulous standard sudoku available through the Discord server, etc though!

One (maybe not so minor request) for future puzzle packs - can you try and make sure they can all be done in mobile friendly software? Some folks are unable to solve puzzles on a PC due to accessibility constraints and Penpa is not very useable (especially for large puzzles) on mobile. Your accessibility needy community (including me!) will thank you!
2022-06-07 05:42:37 +0000 UTCFor the fifth puzzle, "and this will make a picture", we can just pick any shaded cell and say, "that's a one by one magic square", in which case the puzzle has multiple solutions. I think it needs to be stated that (possible extremely minor spoiler alert) the magic square is of maximum size, that is, there are no larger squares in the shaded region of the puzzle.

(If someone has already downloaded the PDF and is not checking their email or Patreon update, then they’re not going to know about the PDF having changed in either case.) Ewen
