Sandra & Nala's Advent Calendar

To celebrate the festive season that arriving soon, Sandra & Nala have created this incredible sudoku advent calendar.  It features 24 puzzles (one for each day of December upto Christmas Eve) themed around Nala and Christmas with the calendar itself being a (25th) solvable killer cage puzzle made by Raumplaner. Sandra & Nala would like to give this as a present to the sudoku community!

It’s a 1 page PDF where every killer cage is linked to a different puzzle that opens when you click anywhere in the killer cages. So click on the killer cage with the 1 and you will get redirected to the puzzle number 1 etc.

In total the calendar has 12 4x4, 8 6x6 and 4 9x9 puzzles. They’re all approachable and very cute.

The structure is:

Mondays to Thursdays: 4x4 snacks or shorts

Fridays and Saturdays: 6x6 puzzles.

Advent Sundays: a 9x9 fog of war puzzle

This is a really delightful creation so huge thanks to Sandra & Nala.  We're thrilled to share this pre-Christmas sudoku treat with you all!

I don’t think I can make that happen! 😅 but I’ll definitely try to find occasions for similar things in the future. It’s been fun to make and I’m absolutely blown away by the response!

Sandra and Nala

Thank you so much for these Sandra and Nala! I've managed to solve each puzzle so far despite quite a lot of head-scratching. Can we do this again for Lent 😊?

I’m absolutely loving solving these each day! This is the best Advent Calendar I’ve ever received- thank you Sandra and Nala!😃❤️

Sorry. I thought it was clear by mentioning the „bulb still having to be the lowest digit“ and the „shaft“ in the rules. Glad you managed :)

Sandra and Nala

Alright, I've tried both interpretations now, and it's the second one. I was confused because I was thinking of the thermo as a cord that connected to the center of the bulb, so that after "removing" the bulb, the marked thermo would still connect to the cell that the bulb had been in.

I'm having some trouble with the rules for Day 5. Is each bulb a duplicate of a digit on its thermo (i.e. the cell where it "should" be is directly on the thermo, with the same digit as the bulb), or is it lower than ALL the cells that are on its thermo? (i.e. sort of a remote bulb)

Just wanted to come back and say thank you again, this is so fun to enjoy each day!!
