September Patreon Reward - Lines & Shapes
Added 2023-09-01 15:00:13 +0000 UTCHello Patreons!
Thank you so much for supporting the channel! We love to bring you great rewards as a thank you, and we hope we have done it again this month. This pack of 7 variant sudoku puzzles features lines and shapes, and has a variety of difficulties.
For what it's worth, we think puzzles 1 and 4 may be the more approachable ones here, but we promise that the others will be fun too! Thanks to three friends of the channel - they know who they are - for their help with this pack.
Send the 28 digit solution string (no spaces or punctuation) to crackingthecryptic@gmail.com by 4pm UK time on the 20th September to be in with the chance of a prize - which is our newest merchandise item, a cap featuring just the hexagonal CtC logo! If you don't win the cap, you can use the solution string to buy your own - see the end of the pack for details.
The attached pdf features all the puzzles so you can print them out, and links so you can solve them in our software. Please enjoy the puzzles and let us know what you thought of them at the end. Thanks for your support - it is much appreciated!

2023-09-13 21:34:22 +0000 UTCI just started the "Powers that be" puzzle" I am not able to understand the rules for this - The digit sum on a blue line (N) is equal for every visit the line makes to a 3x3 box – for instance in box 5, the three cells joined directly sum to N, and r4c4 also equals N. Each instance of N is either a cube or square number. I understand the rule for box 5. I am confused with the first rule. The blue line traverses through box 1, 2 and 3 and through 16 cells.
