Sam Cappleman-Lynes 6x6x6

Here is a bit of a treat for you: Sam Cappleman-Lynes, one of the world's most brilliant puzzlers, has created a new set of 6 linked 6x6 sudokus.  Play them right now at either of the links below:

https://app.crackingthecryptic.com/sudoku/bTBmNdrjdD

https://git.io/JuB3x

(The first link is to our software - thanks Sam for rendering them in it.  The second link is to Penpa, which allows you to rescale the grid size in case of software's presentation is too small.)

[Simon's time: 28 minutes.]

[Let us know if Mark should be persuaded to record his solve of the puzzle.  The video might contain some very small digits but at least he might show a solution path :) ]

This was actually one of the easier sudoku's for me, it took me a while to complete it (about 40 minutes), but that's actually one of the quicker ones from this channel. I didn't find myself getting stuck much, which is a nice change. I wouldn't mind seeing more puzzles like this.

I got a fair bit into the puzzle after writing, but now I seem to have made a mistake somewhere T_T I put a 5 in killer r2c1 at some point, and now I can't seem to place the anywhere in the X-sums box 1. Slightly annoying but all in all I'm pretty happy that I made some progress at all :D

I found it hard also, but I managed to do it in the end. Once you get past a certain point, things fall into place and it gets easier. I particularly remember a middling difficult deduction about the killer cages you can make, and then the hard stuff can be found in the lower left puzzle. Crack that and you'll figure out the rest :)

Wow, I really loved that puzzle. Hurts my brain to try to think in that many dimensions though

Joined the patreon to get into more advanced sudokus, and I must say this one already has me stumped. I'm sure it's just a matter of learning the tricks and techniques, but this is definitely on another level compared to the normal puzzles I do in the paper! A solution video would be much appreciated if at all possible just so I can see how you would go about solving it, I'm 2 hours in and don't have a digit yet...

I very much enjoyed these/this puzzle(s). It almost felt like I was doing a 3D sudoku.

Finished in 95 minutes and I feel very proud! The scanning was difficult, I found digits to remove from that position in the other puzzles all the time... way after I could have.

oh, never mind... saw a 4-cells killer instead of the 3... -.-

Guys... I'm going insane here! I'm new, but have followed CTC for a long time... But i can't even get started on this one... The top right grid, just seems broken, no matter what I do i can't make the 12 clue - nor the 13, really... Can someone maybe give me a hint? xD

Finally! 2 restarts due to 2 mistakes, about 2h to do, this is very tiring on the eyes X.X

66 minutes to solve, really great puzzle!

100 minutes of great solving fun. Thank You!

50 mins. Loved how well the puzzles interacted with each other. 28 mins for Simon is just insane, especially as he’s professed to not being good at spotting disjoint set theory in the past
