Hero Summoning - Chapter 3
Added 2024-01-19 18:44:44 +0000 UTCThe green flames ignited in the fireplace of Potter Manor, and out came Harry Potter from it, with Lily and James following behind him.
As soon as Harry stepped out—remembering to put his right foot first to not stumble—he crashed into someone.
Hearing a shriek, he quickly caught the falling person with his right arm and brought them to his chest.
Feeling the soft feminine body in his arms and her breath on his chest, Harry looked down to see who had collided with him, and his heart stuttered and his breath got knocked out.
His eyes widened and his mouth gaped as he stared at the face of one of the people who was closest to his heart.
Ginny Weasley. the first girl he ever loved and lost.
She looked just as he remembered her, with her soft brown eyes, red, flaming hair, and the freckles that covered her beautiful face. It was like he hadn’t seen her die in front of him a few months ago.
For a moment, he thought that fate was playing a cruel joke on him by making him see her when she was dead, but then he remembered that he was now in another world, a world where Ginny was alive and healthy.
And that made his heart beat faster, as it was filled with hope of a chance to regain the girl he loved.
A loud cough from his side, however, interrupted his train of thought.
Turning to his right, Harry saw an amused-looking Lily and James, who were snickering behind their hands.
And Harry suddenly realised he had been staring at the beautiful red hair in his arms since he literally caught her.
It was the same case for Ginny as well, who had been doing the same. Both teens separated and tried to hide their blush while they stammered an apology to each other.
“I am so sorry. I was not looking and crashed into you." Harry apologised, trying his best not to stare at her face longer than needed because if he did, he knew the moments he had spent with his Ginny in the past would flash before his eyes.
"No, no, it’s my fault. I was not looking while walking as I should have.” Ginny shook her head with a smile as she stared up at him, and for a moment she lost herself again in those gorgeous emerald green eyes of the very handsome young man in front of her.
By just looking at him, her face was burning and her heart was flying as far as she does on her broom. She had never seen a man so handsome and with such beautiful eyes.
“I think it’s none of your fault and just a bad coincidence that both of you crashed like that,” an amusedly smiling Lily said, breaking the two-teen staring contest.
Ginny turned to the Potter couple and smiled, “Mrs. Potter, your back! Sorry, I didn’t see you at first,” she said with a blushing face as her eyes kept going back to the black-haired boy.
“We can see that." James muttered not so quietly with a smirk and got hit by Lily’s elbow as she glared at him to stop teasing them.
Lily then turned back to Ginny. "Yes, we just came back from the head quarter,” she answered, and then frowned. “But why are you still here? Isn't it pretty late for you?”
Ginny's eyes widened as she remembered what she was about to do before they collided. “Oh yeah, actually, I was just going back only because Mom's message came; otherwise, I was ready to stay here until you came back,” she said to the lady Potter.
Lily smiled warmly. “That’s so nice of you, Ginny, and thank you for being with my daughters so late.”
Ginny shrugged humbly. “Don’t worry, it’s no problem, and they are my best friends as well.”
James chuckled. “That is true, and I know our daughters would have preferred if you stayed the whole night,” he said, shaking his head and then noticing the time he commented. “But I think you really go before Molly gets too worried, and everyone knows what she becomes when she gets worried.”
All four people in the room shivered, including Harry, who remembered how fanatical Molly became when she was worried about her family.
“You’re right,” Ginny nodded. “I should be going.”
She then turned to Harry and said, “Sorry for colliding with you like that..?” She let the sentence hang, asking him for his name.
“Harry” Harry provided without his surname, as he didn’t think it was time to make her confused for no reason.
"Harry,” Ginny smiled prettily, testing his name on her lips. “Sorry for that, and it was nice meeting you, and I hope we can meet again,” she added hurriedly with a blush.
"Yeah, I hope so too,” Harry replied eagerly, and James and Lily smirked while looking at each other.
“Bye Harry and Mr. and Mrs. Potter!" Ginny waved her hand, and with one last smile to Harry, she threw the powder on the fireplace and disappeared in green flames.
“So…. Going by that interaction of yours with lovely Ginny, we could assume that you had some history with her." James smirked, wiggling his eyebrows.
Harry smiled. “Some very good history with her,” he whispered, recalling his time with the fiery, bubbly red-haired woman, but his smile dimmed as the last moment they had together came into his mind.
"James, you idiot,” Lily hissed at her stupid husband as she said, “you are making him remember his bad past that he wants to forget." She scolded him for his stupidity.
James winced, realising his mistake, and to try to rectify it, he decided to change the subject to get Harry's mind off it.
"Harry, you haven’t met our daughters, have you?” He asked excitedly.
Harry frowned. “Your daughters? No, I have-“
He was stopped from completing his sentence as two loud voices interrupted him.
“Mum!” “Dad!”
Two figures blurred past Harry and crashed into James and Lily, who hugged their daughters back.
Harry stayed back, looking in astonishment, and his breath hitched when he saw the faces of the two girls, who looked just a few years younger than him when they separated from their parents.
They were twins.
Both were so similar and yet so different.
Their faces and most of their features were the same, except that one had red hair like their mother's and their father’s hazel eyes. While the other twin had their father's messier-than-normal black hair and her mother's green eyes,.
When he looked at the second twin for a second, Harry wondered whether he would have looked like her if he were a girl.
He was jutted out of his thoughts when the twins turned and finally noticed him standing there still.
"Um, who is he, mom?" The black-haired twin asked as they both stared at him curiously.
"Guys, this is Harry…” Lily trailed off as she looked at Harry for his opinion of whether he was okay with her telling her daughter his true identity, and Harry nodded, wanting to not hide something this big from the girls who were younger sisters of his counterpart.
"This is Harry Potter,” Lily finished with a wide smile, with James joining her.
The twins eyes bulged out, and they stared at Harry and their parents as they exclaimed together.
“That’s impossible!”
“You’re lying!”
Both of them exclaimed in shock and anger.
"Girls, relax; we are not lying nor joking,” James said, trying to calm down his daughters.
“Then what is it?”
“And why did you say this stranger's name is the same as that of our brother?”
Both the twins asked in sync, and if the situation wasn’t as serious as it was, Harry would have felt amused seeing their whole twin insynce talking.
"Girls, we will tell you everything, but first, let’s go to the dinner table and have some food. Harry and I are very hungry, and I am sure you two are as well,” Lily said calmly, holding her daughter’s shoulder and making them nod their heads.
She then led them to the dining table, with Harry following behind, who was nervous to see how the two young girls would react to the whole summoning ritual story.
The only thing he was hoping for was that they both didn’t despise and hate him for taking their already-gone brother’s place.
Because that was the last thing Harry wanted, and he was never going to do that.
-
Half an hour later, all the Potters were sitting on the dining table, finishing their dinner.
Harry put his spoon down and relaxed back into his chair after eating the most delicious food he had eaten in a very long time.
It was not an understatement because it had been at least two years since the last time Harry ate a full, healthy meal. Since then, he had been on the run from the Voldemort army and was just surviving on the scraps he could find.
And for some reason, this meal felt much better than any he had had in the past. He didn’t know the reason why... or maybe he was trying not to think and accept that it was maybe because this was the first time he ate with people he could call family.
Discarding that line of thoughts for now, Harry looked up and saw James and Lily like him, looking satisfied after finally getting their empty stomachs filled, but the same could not be said for the last two on the table.
The twin sisters were still in shock after hearing what happened in the last 12 hours of this day. Their cold food was proof of that, as they both couldn’t even digest after what they just heard.
Their older brother, whom they lost before they were even born, was something they both hated and had made them wish for years that he had survived so they could have had the big brother with them growing up.
And now they find out that the boy sitting with them was their brother's counterpart from a different world, which leaves them not only stunned but also confused with their reaction.
On the one hand, they both felt elated and happy that they might probably get their big brother back, which they always wanted, but at the same time, they were nervous and anxious about whether he would accept them as his sisters or not.
And they feared whether he would leave them because he never wanted them.
“Are-are you alright with what happened to you today?” The black-haired twin, whose name Harry found out was Dorea for their grandmother, and Ivy, the red-haired twin, who was named after their other grandmother,.
Harry sighed, looking at his empty plate. “To be honest, I still don’t know how I feel about all this,” he said, stretching his hand. He then looked up at the twin. "To me, I just feel like I am in some sort of fantasy or dream, and everything is happening so fast that my brain just can’t comprehend all of it.”
“Until it fully sinks into my mind, I don’t think I can tell if I am happy with this crazy new thing in my already more than crazier life,” he told them with a small, tired smile.
“How did you defeat your voldemort?" Ivy asked eagerly.
"Ivy,” Lily hissed at her daughter. “There is no need to ask that right now; didn’t Harry just say he already had a lot on his mind?”
“I-I am sorry-“ Ivy went to apologise, but Harry stopped her with a shake of his head.
“Don’t worry, you did nothing wrong. I don’t mind telling you." Harry said, and then, after a pause, he leaned forward. “In fact, I think you should all know my whole history as well.”
Lily frowned "Harry, are you sure? You can tell us any other time,” she said softly, holding his hand.
"No, I want to. After all, you did the same, so it’s my turn now.” Harry smiled, squeezing her hand.
He then turned to his audience, who was eagerly waiting, and began, “So this is my crazy batshit story of the past 18 years..."
For the next fifteen minutes straight, Harry told the tales of his life, and the potter’s listened with rapture.
All the while he narrated, their expressions kept changing from shock to joy to anger and even sadness when he told them how the second war against Voldemort went.
Lily's hands squeezing his and giving him comfort was the only thing that kept Harry talking while he told them how he lost all the people in his life.
He even felt nice and happy to see how furious they were on his behalf after hearing some of the things he had to go through.
Harry had to even hold back Lily and James from going to Dursley right now, as they both wanted to kill them for how that family treated him.
It was after some difficulty that he made them realise that this world Dursley’s didn’t do what his did that both of them calmed down, if only a little, because he could still see how angry and disappointed Lily looked knowing her sister could do something like that.
Harry even noticed one peculiar thing, which was the lack of reaction from Lily when he told them about Snape, which led him to believe that she didn’t have any ounce of sympathy for that man.
And that pleased Harry because he wanted no one closer to him to feel bad for that horrible man.
After finishing the tale with what happened today at last, Harry leaned back and, surveying their faces, asked, "Now, is there anything you want to ask?”
At once, as soon as he asked, all four questioned him at the same time.
“You faced Voldemort six times?!”
“You killed a basilisk?!”
“You fought a dragon?!”
“You had a Veela girlfriend?!”
At the last question, all three females in the room turned their heads towards the head of the house, James, who paled as he realised what he just blurted out.
“W-what?” He asked in his defence, “Come on, it’s a Veela we are talking about.”
“James” Lily gritted her teeth in warning, and his daughter looked at him in disgust.
James put his hand up in surrender. “Lily flower, you know, for me, you are more beautiful than them; it’s just that I just wanted to know,” he said meekly, not helping him at all.
Harry felt bad for the poor guy who was getting outnumbered, and he decided to help him.
"Yes, I did,” he answered, bringing everyone's attention back to him.
“And yes, I did face him six times, at least face-to-face, and defeat him on the last time we met,” he answered Lily, and then turned to the twins. “And yes, I first killed the basilisk in my second year, and then in my fourth, I wouldn’t say I defeated; it was more like I outflew the dragon.”
"Still, that’s so cool!” Ivy exclaimed.
“And the fact that you not only killed the basilisk but you also survived its bite is so amazing,” Dorea gushed his praise with wide, awe-filled eyes.
Harry's cheeks felt hit with blush, and he ducked his head, scratching his neck, which was his nervous tick he always does when someone compliments him.
Lily, seeing this, hid her smile and her urge to wrap him in her arms as she cried internally at how adorable he looked, feeling embarrassed.
James wanted to feel jealous for another man to take all the praise and attention from his girls, but the truth was, he was also impressed and proud of the shocking feats Harry has already achieved in his life.
He realised it was the feeling a father felt when he was proud of his child, and for him, Harry was already his son. Which he knew was the same with Lily.
But the boy in him was interested in one part of his story as he asked, “Did you say you had more than one girlfriend?” He asked excitedly.
"James, really,” Lily said, raising her eyebrows as she felt embarrassed by her husband. It was the same for the twins, who crossed their hands and glared at their father, who was behaving like a teen boy, for whom the only thing on his mind was girls.
At times like this, they realised why their mother hated their father earlier before they started daring.
Thankfully, Harry just chuckled, making them feel less embarrassed, as he felt no offence from what James asked.
"Yes, I did,” he answered, shrugging. “When you are in war and you keep losing people, you tend to look to others for comfort.”
“And your first girlfriend didn’t mind it?” James questioned.
Harry snorted, “Ginny I found out later that she already knew about the other girls wanting me, and I was shocked when she told me she didn’t mind it; instead, she welcomed it because she wanted those girls as well,” he told them with a fond smile, thinking about his naughty first girlfriend.
“Lucky bastard,” James muttered jealously, and his eyes misted as he imagined the thought of having more than two girls, but he was brought back to reality by a kick to his shin.
“OUCH!” Crying in pain, he looked up and gulped, seeing the daggers his wife was glaring at him, knowing exactly what he was thinking.
while Harry and the twins bit their lips to not laugh aloud at the sweating face of James, who smiled weakly and tried to reassure his wife.
Ivy leaned closer to her twin and whispered, “Only if Harry knows that Ginny of this World is the same as his.”
Both twins smirked as they recalled their best friend's secret, which they found once on a night of truth and dare. To this day, they have promised Ginny they would never tell anyone about her secret.
Dorea, after wiping the smirk off her face, incorrectly asked Harry, “Ginny went just when you came, so did you not meet her?" Ivy, seeing why her sister asked, leaned forward to hear the answer.
It was not Harry who answered, but James. "Oh, we did,” he nodded and then smirked at Harry. “In fact, Harry here crashed into her and caught her in his arms, and we had to stop them from staring into each other's eyes,” he said playfully.
Harry scowled at the older man, but the blush on his face didn't help him. Thankfully, Lily came and saved the poor boy.
“I think that’s enough for today, girls,” Lily said to the twins. “It’s time to go to bed,” she ordered them.
“But mom, we want to talk with Harry a bit more,” both twins whined.
“Your mother is right, girls; do as she says; it’s getting late,” James said firmly.
"Alright, dad, mom," the twins reluctantly accepted, and then left for the room, but not before turning to Harry and waving their hands and saying, “Good night, Harry.”.
"Goodnight." Harry smiled back.
Once the twins were on the stairs, they turned to each other and smirked.
“Are you thinking what I am thinking?” Dorea asked.
"Well, if you are thinking that we have a new mission to get our dear friend Ginny with Harry, then you are right; we are thinking the same,” Ivy whispered with a sly smile.
Both sisters giggled and raced to their room to plan how to bring their new brother and best friend together.
Not only were they doing this because their friend needed someone like Harry, but they also wanted to do it so that Harry could get back the girl he lost in his world.
Back in the dining room, Lily stood up and smiled at Harry. “Come on, Harry, I will show you your room,” she told him, waving her hand.
Harry nodded, and after wishing James goodnight, he followed Lily.
As they navigated through the manor, Harry looked around, mesmerised at the big house that was so neatly crafted and decorated.
He saw many portraits and even statues of the former Potter, and it fascinated him to see all of them, many of whom he didn’t even know about.
Lily looked at her side and smiled at the interest on Harry’s face as he looked around her home, and it filled her with pride.
"Have you not been in Potter Manor before Harry, in your world?” Lily asked him.
Harry turned and shook his head. “In my world, Potter Manor was destroyed before I was even born,” he told her with a pained smile.
“That’s horrible, Harry,” Lily sympathised, squeezing his arm. “But how did that happen?”
Harry's face hardened. “It was done by none other than Voldemort,” he growled. “Before your last year in school, he attacked Potter Manor because he wanted to eliminate all his enemies, and my grandparents were the biggest obstacle after Dumbledore in his path. That was why he came with an army of his 20 followers and attacked the manor.”
His face then turned into a bloody, thirsty smirk. “But what they didn’t know was that Charlus and Dorea Potter were not going to just surrender like that, and they were ready for him.”
“And despite being in their older ages, they both fought bravely and killed all 20 followers of Voldemort that came with him.” Harry told her with pride.
"Unfortunately, in the end, they couldn’t overpower Voldemort and died at his wand. But for him, it wasn’t a victory but a humiliation that it took so many to defeat an old couple, and in his rage, that monster destroyed the Potter manor, burning it to the ground.” Harry finished solemnly touching the walls of the manor.
He then turned to Lily, who had been listening silently, and asked, “Did the same not happen here?”
Lily shook her head, “leading to his loss against my in-laws; the same happened here as well, but before he could burn this house, Dumbledore, with the reinforcements, arrived here, and he had to flee.”
“Although he did damage this manor a little bit, and after that Halloween night, to take our minds off what happened, me and James shifted here and decided to renovate this into our home,” Lily told him, her voice breaking at the mention of that infamous night and what she lost.
Harry hated seeing her down and sad like that, so he decided to change the subject: “You didn’t tell me old twins are?” He asked.
His bait worked as a smile spread on her face. “They are two years younger than you,” Lily answered.
“That meant you were without them that night,” Harry stated with a frown.
Lily nodded as they climbed the stairs. “I was, and at first, me and James didn’t even know about it, but when we found out that we were about to have twins, that hope was what carried us to that time of grief, and I will always be grateful to my girls who saved me from going into a very dark place,” she admitted with a soft smile.
Harry smiled with her, looking at the family portrait of them, which had Lily and James with the twin sister. And he stared wistfully at the happy smiles on their faces.
“You have a beautiful home, mu-Mrs Potter,” Harry told her, covering his slip quickly and hoping she didn’t catch it.
Unfortunately for him, Lily did, but she hid her pleased smile for now and waved her finger at him. “First of all, call me Lily; no Mrs. Potter nonsense,” she scolded him playfully.
Harry chuckled and nodded. "Okay, Lily," he said, saying her name warmly.
Lily's smile widened. “And thank you very much for your compliment. This house is my year's work, and I really appreciate when others like it,” she told him proudly.
They then reached the first floor, and Lily led him to the second room on the right.
"Now,” she said, stopping before the room, “this is your room.” She told Harry and then pointed at the room in front of him, “That one is the twins, and that one.” She pointed at the room on the left side of the hallway and said, "It's mine and James's room.”
Harry nodded. “Got it, but you could have just given me the guest room. I have no problem.”
"Absolutely not,” Lily scoffed, shaking her head. "Harry, I don’t know if you will decide to stay in this world or not, but for me and my family, you are already a part of us,” she said passionately, staring up at him with those green eyes so much like hers.
“Thank you,” Harry said with a voice thick with emotion.
“Don’t mention it." Lily smiled warmly and then said, “Now listen, I told our elf stubby earlier, so she has already put your clothes in the wardrobe of your room.” She told him, pointing at the wardrobe.
“My clothes?” Harry asked, feeling confused.
“It’s not your clothes." Lily elaborated, “It’s just the clothes that stubby have altered to fit your size for now; after that, the next day we can go shopping to buy you new clothes.”
The excited, almost maniac smile on her face as she mentioned shopping scared Harry a little bit, and it made him remember the time his girls took him on an hour-long shopping trip.
Just remembering that again made him shiver in horror. And knowing that if he didn't distract Lily from her thoughts of shopping, it wouldn’t be good for him.
“Thank you again for showing me the room, Lily,” he said, jutting her out of her thoughts. “Now I think it’s getting late; you should go and sleep because I am feeling very tired.” He faked a loud yawn to prove his point.
"Ooh, yeah, you're Harry." Lily nodded with a smile. "Goodnight, and if you need anything, I am just a room away.”
“I will,” Harry assured her, and he closed the door of his room after Lily left for her.
Stepping inside, he looked around, admiring the big room, and then opened the wardrobe to find it full of clothes.
He picked up a pair of night clothes and, dropping his wand and everything he had in his pocket or the pouch at his neck on the bed, changed his clothes.
After wearing the black pyjamas, Harry was surprised to find they were the perfect fit for him.
House elves are the best. He thought with a smile and then laid down on the king-size bed. He then replayed everything that had happened today in his head.
Just as he was about to close his eyes to shut them off, the door to his room slowly opened. Seeing that, his war instincts kicked in, and he quickly dove down on the floor and pointed his wand at the door.
Before he could fire the spell, Harry was surprised and felt foolish to see that it was just Dorea tiptoeing in his room silently.
"Harry, why are you down on the floor?” She asked, seeing him on the ground.
Harry blushed, embarrassed, and quickly climbed up on the bed. "Nothing; I just dropped something,” he lied quickly and then frowned. “But why are you here?”
Dorea smiled and sat down beside him, but Harry could clearly see she was nervous about something.
“I just wanted to talk with you,” she said quietly.
Harry, seeing her hesitant, swiftly drew closer to her and squeezed her shoulder in comfort. “What is it?” he asked softly.
Dorea took a deep breath and met his eyes. “What I wanted to say was that I know you’re still thinking about staying here or not. And I just wanted to say that I would love it if you decided to stay here and with us because I always wanted a bigger sibling with whom I could share everything and just have fun with them.” She said shyly and then quickly added, “But that’s not to say I am forcing you to stay; it is still your choice, and I would understand if you don’t want to stay in this world.”
Harry stayed silent as he looked at her and saw the lie in her words when she said she would be alright. He could see in her eyes how much she wanted him to stay here with them. And it warned Harry’s heart, making him feel a type of feeling he had never had.
It was the feeling of sibling love.
Grabbing her chin, he made her look at him and asked, “Do you want me to be your brother, Dorea?” He raised his eyebrow.
Dorea looked into his eyes and nodded. “I do so much, but only if you want to,” she added unsurely.
Harry chuckled. "Oh, you silly girl,” he said, mending her hair and making her pout. “You don’t know how much I have always wanted a little sister,” he told her with a smile.
“Really?” Dorea asked hopefully.
Harry nodded. "Really," he said, then was pushed back as she hugged him tightly.
Smiling, Harry hugged her back, savouring the feeling of the first time getting hugged by his little sister.
It was a feeling he wanted to experience until the day he died. And he promised himself he would die before he could let his new sisters get harmed.
Dorea pulled back, grinning widely. “Would you mind if I call you big brother?” she asked.
"No, I wouldn't,” Harry said, shaking his head.
“Then goodnight, big brother.” Dorea wished him with a wide smile and hugged him again.
She then pulled back and stood up. “I should go, or mom might catch us; you never know with her,” she said, and Harry chuckled, agreeing with her.
She walked to the door with a skip in her steps, stopped at the threshold, and turned back to him.
“I almost forgot, and I know there is still some time left, but I wanted to be the first one to wish you,” she said, and Harry’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he couldn’t understand what she was saying.
Dorea then ran back to him, smiling widely, and hugged him again. “Happy birthday, Harry!” she exclaimed in his ear with a tight hug.
She then pulled back and ran to her room, quietly closing the door to the room, leaving a stunned Harry, who was sitting in his bed with his arm wide from the time he was hugging her.
He then dropped back on his bed and, rubbing his face, groaned at his hand. "Fuck, I forgot tomorrow is my birthday.”
He laid back, staring at the ceiling with his empty thoughts.
In just an hour, I am going to be 19 years old.
Fuck I am getting old.
That was the last thought as Harry finally succumbed to sleep for the first time in this new world.
From tomorrow on, his life was going to change, and Harry needed as much rest as he could for his soon-to-be 19-year-old body.
P/S: Hey guys, I hoped you liked this chapter.
From the next chapter, the story will start picking up pace, and new characters will enter.
The girls that I have decided who will be with Harry in this story are: Ginny, Fleur, Daphne Tonks, Bellatrix and an OC character who is Sirius's Daughter are the ones who are confirmed. Now I want you to name me the extra girls or women you want Harry to be with, and I will do a poll on that.
Thank you very much! All of you are the best!
