Monthly Bonus Content #2 — Spring Scenario Special (Forget-me-nots 'True Love/Memories'- Felix)

“And what about this one?” Felix hands me a photo, an eager interest shimmering in his eyes.

The glossy memories gleam in the early morning sunlight as they are spread in a patchwork carpet of the past across my bed.

Felix lays amongst them, on his front, legs twirling in the air behind him as he rifles through the photos. I lean against the headboard, reeling off the stories of the images as he passes them to me.

Delving into the depths of my past isn’t what I planned on doing this morning, but he was so keen to learn more about me—the times he hasn’t been around—and he figured this was the best way.

I take the photo, being sure to slide my fingers over his as I do so. It’s too much of a temptation to resist touching him whenever I can get the chance.

And he certainly doesn’t seem to mind as he reaches a little bit closer each time to give me the opportunity to do it.

“This is the first time me and Tina saw a movie together,” I explain. Tina smiles out of the photograph, an arm slung around my shoulders to drag me in close as I just look confused.

Felix spreads his hand over the images like a tarot reader choosing a fate. “Oh, this one. What’s this one?”

I groan as I take the paper. “That’s the time I shrunk my uniform in the wash and didn’t realise until I tried to put it on. Tina insisted on taking a photo of that too.” I flick the photo onto the pile, resting my head back against the wall. “Not really a moment I want to remember.”

“Why not?” he asks, rolling onto his side to look at me fully.

“Because I get enough embarrassment remembering those times without having to see them,” I reply.

He pushes himself onto his knees, pressing my legs apart so that he can scoot between them and kneel before me. “But your memories are what make the world unique to you.”

I reach out and brush my thumb down his cheek. “Not all memories are ones I want.”

“I suppose that’s fair.” He glances down, rubbing at his chin. “Do you at least have enough good memories of me to help?”

A smile catches my expression, and I slide my hand around to the back of his neck, urging him closer.

He happily complies.

Our lips meet in a soft bloom of warmth that chases away the chill of the moments I’d rather forget. He clasps my middle, shuffling as close as he can between my spread legs, his kiss moving from my mouth to my cheek and slowly down to my neck.

I let out a gentle breath as I tilt my head back, my eyes closing to enjoy the touch.

“Is this a better memory to make?” he murmurs against my skin.

I open my eyes, finding his amber ones gazing into mine, sparkling like a thousand suns. “A much, much better memory. But then, they’re all good with you.”

“Eh, I’m not sure that’s true,” he replies, flopping back onto his knees. “A lot of our memories so far involve you being chased down by supernaturals.”

“But we’ve still made those memories together,” I joke.

He chuckles, catching my hand and bringing it up to kiss my palm. “I wish I had photos I could show you of my childhood. You’ve shared a lot of your life today, and I’ve got nothing to show you back.”

“You’re here, Felix, with me. That is more than enough,” I state, the words filled with honesty.

Something about my statement seems to catch him and, in a rare show, tears glimmer at his eyes.

I swipe them away with my thumb. “Are you alright?”

“Yeah,” he stammers, flopping down to lay his back against my chest, his head resting on my shoulder. “But how about we start capturing our memories too? At some point, I might start overtaking the amount you have of Tina.”

I blow out a breath. “Good luck. She loves a photo opportunity.”

We both laugh together. Felix then pulls out his phone, lining it up so that we’re both in frame. I smoosh his face between my hands and kiss his cheek just as the photo goes off.

When it’s taken, he looks at it, biting at his lip when it wobbles.

“It’s perfect, babe,” he stutters as emotion makes his voice hitch.

I draw him into an embrace. “That’s because we’re perfect together.”

Outside the window, the Spring morning spreads across the landscape. It kisses softly at the trees, the clouds, and the spill of forget-me-not flowers blooming in the flowerbox. The sun’s warmth covers us in a blanket of light, chasing away the shadows of lingering memories, creating space for some of the best ones.

Together.

There's so many different types of intimacy and as much as spice is something I definitely enjoy, I also love these moments of connection in other ways! 😄

F is particularly adept at hitting right in the feels, hehe! 😄

F always hits me right in the emotions and I am left a weepy mess. Wishing they had photos and memories to share - knowing the little we do about their home and love for their mother - I love them so much Their optimism and the life and light within them! Absolutely adored this! I love F so much (lol the pictures with Tina, those were fun!)

I’m usually not a Felix fan cause he’s like my kid brother haha but I love this. In a world full of books where people want spice and smut you’ve made a sweet example of how romance and intimacy doesn’t always have to be sexual. Well done.
