Loved it. I could see George doing a time skip between the climax of the series and the denoument - i.e., have Bran ascend to the throne a few years after the wights are defeated in a few final chapters. You could even skip forward in time with the last few chapters - have one pretty immediately where Jon leaves for the North, one several months later where Arya gets on the boat, and one years later where Bran takes the Iron Throne. If George wants to avoid "and he ruled wisely and well," he could even add one decades later where Bran and Sansa reflect on their tax policies. (Or not, of course, but that would solve the 11 year old conquering the world problem.)
