Sansas interaction with Sandor in season 8 of GOT was one of the things that made me spit the most teeth at the highest velocity. Sandor is not one of the characters who crystallises Sansa's capacity for unconditional compassion and teaches her the untrustworthy nature of outward beauty, as he is in the books. He is simply another one of the abusers whose rough treatment taught her to be more cynical, taught her to toughen up, and for which she is grateful, since of course, a woman can't achieve greatness unless she has had to endure abuse. All the nuance drained from the relationship in typical D&D style.
