Status Update for the series and a big thank you!

Hey everyone—thank you so much for your patience and support.

Thank you all for your patience and apologies for my relatively slow writing speed.

Right now I’m heads-down on the Seraphina series. Per my contract, I need to deliver three books before full production kicks off. In truth, Seraphina will likely help fund Gilgamesh [it will always be Gilgamesh to me], so building momentum there helps both stories.

I’ll be honest: the recent Amazon ratings have been a little rough. If you’ve enjoyed the books, an honest review on Amazon/Goodreads helps more than you know.

As for Gilgamesh—it’s a darker, heavier lift for me, roughly three times harder to write than Seraphina and told from a single POV for ~98% of the time. When it gets too dark, I use the other story as a palate cleanser to keep the words flowing. As the consumers, you shouldn’t have to care how the sausage is made—you deserve a great story—but I want to be transparent about where the time goes.

Roadmap: I plan to finish Gilgamesh by 2028. The outline is complete, I’ve already written the final chapter, and everything is steering toward it. I’ve also put contingency measures in place should anything unexpected happen. I’m healthy—just a bit cautious as there is a history of cancer in my family. The ultimate goal is to be able to make at least $600 dollars a month which will enable me to quit my current job and focus on writing entirely.

Since day one I’ve taken this project seriously, investing personal funds (in the thousands on editing, artwork, etc.), time, and emotions. Every dollar from Patreon goes straight back into art and production to make the books and series better. Truly: this wouldn’t be possible without you.

I like to think I’m thick-skinned, but waking up sometimes to a 0.5 or 1.5 on a summary/glossary page can still sting. If you see something off or have suggestions, I genuinely welcome constructive feedback—it helps me improve.

Thank you for reading, reviewing, sharing, and being here. You’re the reason this continues. 💛

That said, your story doesn't win more probably because of the type of story it is or because of bad marketing, the quality of your story is awesome, unfortunately I am a student or I would support you more

Only 600 dollars ? What country do you live in ? (if you don't mind saying it, of course)

Had the full force of RR marketing behind it, where I think they dropped the ball was that there were no day 1 ARC reader reviews. Either that, or the market just does not want this kind of story where sometimes you have to pause and think.

Keep up the good work! I appreciate Gil's antics a lot, and wish there were more stories like it. I think honestly some of it is advertising. Need to have a solid launch and make it to rising stars, then you can keep up the momentum.
