Chapter 898 : Training Efficiency

“We'll do the same thing as before. Don't resist!”

A couple of Shadow Clones appeared next to Fujin. Takeshi's eyes widened as he realized, ‘Sensei will use his soul technique again after so long? If he uses Wind Vacuum Technique with my body, it'll be much easier to replicate it!’

As Fujin's soul left his body, he thought, ‘I suppose I owe him for letting me use his body to learn Scorch Release. Without doing so, it'd take me years to recreate it. Even though it hasn't benefited me much yet, it is a valuable asset to have. Besides, it's not as if this is much effort on my part.’

In terms of teaching Ninjutsu, Fujin was quite different from the traditional ninjas in Konoha. Other ninjas highly valued their jutsus and considered them as an asset, especially if those jutsus weren't available in the library. That could be observed from the ninja clans, who almost never taught their secret techniques to anyone else.

Even Hiruzen, who was much more liberal about passing advanced Ninjutsu to the next generation, was far more conservative than Fujin. Even though Hiruzen taught Fujin several important jutsus and provided him with multiple scrolls containing rank S and forbidden techniques, he never gave those techniques for free. Fujin had to earn each one of them in one way or the other.

For example, Fujin earned Hiruzen's guidance for Wind Vacuum Technique through his achievements in the Chunin Exam. He earned the scroll containing the Spirit Transformation jutsu by exchanging Sasori's puppets for it. And, he also earned several jutsus, like the Flying Thunder God, through his unrestrained shamelessness.

Of course, it could be said that Fujin rarely paid the true price of the techniques he received from Hiruzen and Hiruzen gave them to him far more easily due to his incredible potential. But regardless of whether he paid a fair price or not, Hiruzen made Fujin work for those techniques.

Fujin was quite different from him in this aspect. As long as he felt his students were ready, he would teach the appropriate jutsu to his students. The same could also be seen in the Phantom Haven Society, where Fujin had added hundreds of jutsus to their library.

The only thing Fujin valued was the time he needed to teach them. However, since their training would mostly be looked over by his clones or the Anbu trainers, he didn't lose anything by teaching them. As for the Phantom Haven Society, they were quite independent and rarely asked for his help.

Due to this difference in attitude, Fujin's students lucked out heavily for the time being. Not only was Fujin teaching Takeshi and Yuji some extremely advanced techniques, but he also gave his remaining three students the opportunity to learn from Hiruzen. More importantly, Fujin didn't hold back while teaching, making learning as efficient as he could.

Fujin's soul entered Takeshi's body and took control of him with ease since Takeshi didn't resist. Takeshi heard a voice in his head, ‘Be attentive. Feel how your chakra moves.’

Fujin raised Takeshi's right arm slightly and a vacuum core started forming. He properly demonstrated the second stage of the training several times. With such immense help, Takeshi started grasping the fundamentals of the technique.

Fujin, who was still guiding Takeshi, couldn't help but think, ‘It's astonishing to see how many jutsus that can increase training efficiency and speed are available in the village. Even more surprising is that none of them were created for this purpose.

The Shadow Clone jutsu played an invaluable role in my rise. Spirit Transformation jutsu can be used in this manner to teach the jutsus in the most efficient manner! If there were more users, this would have been very common.

There's also the Edo Tensei jutsu. Konoha could revive expert ninjas and have them personally guide the youngsters here in techniques they were proficient in when they were alive. And that's just the tip of the iceberg…’

Fujin couldn't help but think of all the ways to enhance training efficiency. At the same time, he could pity how these tricks were almost never used.

Fujin continued guiding Takeshi, who learnt the second stage before the sun set. The next day, Fujin started demonstrating the third stage of the training. He formed a Vacuum Bullet at the tip of Takeshi's fingers. Though the third stage was far more complicated, Takeshi started getting a grasp over it rather quickly due to the Spirit Transformation jutsu.

On the 7th day, Takeshi finally launched a proper Vacuum Bullet from his fingertip. A glint appeared in Takeshi's eyes as he saw the vacuum bullet pierce through everything in its path for several dozen meters!

Fujin smiled and said, “Good, you finally got it.”

Takeshi immediately replied, “Thank you, Sensei! I couldn't have learnt it without your help!”

Without a hint of politeness, Fujin nodded, “It's good that you remember it. Never forget it, since Wind Vacuum Technique is very dangerous. Observe carefully.”

Takeshi followed Fujin's gaze and his eyes landed on Fujin's Shadow Clone. He saw as the clone pointed its pointer finger at a tree. A vacuum core started forming. Initially, Takeshi felt it was a normal vacuum core. After all, he had seen Fujin create thousands of those over the last few days with zero effort.

However, his eyes suddenly widened as he realized, ‘Wait a minute! That core is unstable!’

Before he could react, the core collapsed, sending small wind projectiles flying in every direction! The clone was dispelled on the spot. Fear appeared in Takeshi's eyes as one of them headed straight at his chest! Its speed was so high that he didn't have any time to dodge it. Luckily, he felt Fujin's hand on his shoulder as both disappeared and appeared on a tree branch.

Takeshi took a deep breath and muttered, “What the hell was that?”

Fujin explained, “That's what could happen if you create an unstable core. It is as dangerous for you as it is for others. One mistake and you could lose your life. From what I heard, several talented Suna ninjas lost their lives while trying to learn the Wind Vacuum Technique. That is why they have now listed it as a forbidden technique.”

Takeshi nervously nodded, realizing how dangerous a single mistake can be. Fujin continued, “Even though you finally learnt it, it was more due to me forcefully making your body use it than you learning it on your own. It shows your control over the wind isn't good enough yet. For your own safety, you shouldn't attempt to create Vacuum cores inside your throat like I do. Simply stick to this one technique. If you keep training, you'll improve it to a level where it'll pose grave danger to any of your enemies.”

Takeshi started to nod again when his head suddenly froze and his eyes widened in fear. A small cut opened up on his left cheek. He quickly looked back, seeing the holes left behind by the Vacuum Bullet that grazed past him. He turned his head quickly and looked at Fujin's finger, which was slightly raised.

Fujin said, “As you can see, its biggest advantage is the element of surprise. All you need to do is sneakily point one finger at your enemy and fire it while they are least expecting it.”

Takeshi held his cheek and complained, “It's cool but did you have to cut me?”

Fujin chuckled and healed him while answering, “Well, it helps to make the point, don't you agree?”

Takeshi reluctantly nodded. Fujin pointed his right hand in another direction and said, “Once you improve, you can do this with just this technique.”

Takeshi saw as Fujin launched a continuous barrage of 15 Vacuum Bullets from his fingertips in under a couple of seconds! Fujin suddenly stretched his palm, pointing all 5 fingers in that direction. To Takeshi's surprise, 5 vacuum cores formed at the same time on Fujin's finger tips! Fujin launched a similar barrage, except it consisted of 5 times as many bullets!

Fujin asked, “So, what do you think? Would not creating vacuum cores in your throat affect the lethality of this jutsu?”

Takeshi thought for a bit and answered, “It should, but this is plenty strong. If any ninja can survive such a barrage, I doubt shooting Vacuum Bullets from my mouth will make a difference. However, could I create vacuum cores for jutsus I don't form inside my mouth?”

Fujin nodded, “Yes, the Blade of Wind jutsu can be modified with the Wind Vacuum Technique too. However, its core is much more complicated. For now, stick to this technique. When you are ready, I'll teach it to you.”

Takeshi immediately thanked Fujin. The two continued training for the rest of the day as Takeshi's control kept increasing.
