Chapter 891 : Copying their Sensei!

‘Ice Release: Silent Winter jutsu’

As soon as Shoma completed his hand seals, the temperature in the training ground suddenly dropped drastically! The temperature, which was around 25°C at the start of the battle, went to sub zero degrees.

It was so cold that the sweat on Hoka's body began crystallizing. Fujin wasn't spared either. Even though he noticed the oddity and flew upwards, his popcorns and the bucket holding them were more or less frozen.

Ignoring the battle below, Fujin focused on his snack. The bucket fell to the ground while the popcorns floated in the wind. The winds supporting the popcorn suddenly grew hot, almost turning into an open furnace. Once the popcorn were heated again, he put one in his mouth and thought, 'Perfect! I was worried I'll have to watch the climax without my popcorn! That would have been depressing…'

After saving his popcorn, Fujin turned his attention to the entertainment below. He immediately noticed something odd. Even though Hoka was bearing the full brunt of the temperature, Fujin's other students seemed fine.

Fujin's eyes glowed as he observed, 'As I expected. They have seals on their clothes to protect them from extreme cold. However, that alone wouldn't be enough. Shoma is maintaining an excellent control over his jutsu. The temperature around Yuji and Takeshi isn't as low as elsewhere. As for Hikari and Sayaka, the cold aids them instead of slowing them down.'

Hoka received no time to adjust to the freezing temperature. Sayaka, Yuji and Takeshi immediately moved towards Hoka from 3 different sides. Hoka took his gentle fist stance and released chakra from every chakra point on his body, getting a temporary respite from the cold. He analyzed, 'An impressive maneuver, but this isn't enough to defeat me. They should know it as well. Do they plan on using the same tactic as before to force me to make a mistake. Or, do they have another stratagem up their sleeves? Hmm?'

Instead of attacking Hoka, all 3 kids moved out of the way. Despite being the strongest, they weren't the main attack. Hoka's eyes locked on Hikari, who was standing next to Shoma. At the next moment, an Ice Dragon appeared formed out of thin air infront of Hoka.

Hoka immediately attacked it with Vacuum Palm. The ice dragon shattered but Hoka suddenly felt a grave danger. Though the shards of ice flew away, Hoka's extended right arm began freezing! He immediately unleashed chakra from all the chakra points on his arm and flickered away.

Unfortunately, he immediately came under a three-pronge assault from Sayaka, Yuji and Takeshi. Sayaka's Ice jutsus were especially fierce while Takeshi and Yuji didn't lose their precision.

As they attacked, Sayaka thought, 'Shoma's talent in controlling temperature is beyond belief. He can even freeze the entire waterfall! Even though I'm the strongest in the group and have a good command over Ice Release, I can't compare with him in this aspect.

This creates the perfect environment for us. Especially for Hikari, who is extremely talented in creating shapes out of ice. She isn't that enthusiastic about fighting but loves to create ice sculptures. And, the environment created by Shoma allows Hikari to create as she pleases.

Hehe, we took a page out of Sensei's book. Shoma creates an Ice Field just like Sensei's Wind Domain, Hikari can create ice attacks spontaneously just like how Sensei creates his Wind jutsus and I go for the kill!

Of course, we can't compare to Sensei. His Wind Domain is an absolute kill zone. However, this is just our start. Even Monkey-sensei couldn't endure this combination attack. Hoka-sensei is far stronger, but even he'll be on thin ice, both literally and figuratively.'

Observing from the skies, a smile appeared on Fujin's face. He may not have devoted much time to training them, but they were his students. He thought, 'Fufufu, they are creating an Ice Domain by taking inspiration from my Wind Domain. Marvellous! Hoka, you better get serious soon. Otherwise, the result would be quite humiliating.'

Having known Hoka for so long, Fujin understood his thoughts. Even though Hoka never displayed any jealousy, he regretted not being able to keep up with Fujin. The difference of strengths between the two was the reason why Hoka trained as hard as he did. If Fujin was the one who trained the most in his generation, Hoka was a close second. The rest didn't come anywhere close. So, if Hoka were to actually be defeated by Fujin's students, his pride would take a major hit.

As the kids planned, Hoka fell in a difficult situation. Sayaka led their forces once again, going on an all out offense against Hoka. She was aided by Yuji and Takeshi, who not only intercepted Hoka's counterattacks, but also exploited every opening created by Sayaka.

Despite her Ice jutsus being boosted, just the three of them wouldn't cause Hoka a headache. The major threat came from Hikari. Just in a couple of mins, one of Hoka's limbs froze 6 times. He even took a couple of her hits.

While dealing with their innumerable combination attacks, Hoka analyzed, 'If this continues, I'll lose long before their chakra runs out. To think these kids would force me to this extent. Sigh, this is gonna hurt...'

His eyes carefully observed the movements of Fujin's students, looking for an opening while dodging and countering their relentless assault. Once again, as innumerable times earlier, Sayaka moved within 5 meters of Hoka to increase the pressure.

Hoka Immediately moved towards her. Takeshi and Yuji acted immediately, launching Wind Blades and False Darkness jutsus to cut off his path. At the same time, an ice tentacle with a spear-like pointed tip appeared on his left.

Instead of continuing his attack, Hoka suddenly flickered. His target? It was none other than Yuji, who was the farthest away as compared to Sayaka and Takeshi. His maneuver caught all of Fujin's students by surprise. The reason behind their surprise wasn't because they were caught off guard. It was simply because targeting Yuji was far more difficult than targeting Sayaka or Takeshi. Hoka had chosen the most difficult target.

The distance between the two allowed Sayaka and Takeshi to attack Hoka. Dozens of Air Bullets and hundreds of Ice Needles flew at him as well as in the space between him and Yuji. However, Hoka didn't stop. Instead, he used Rotation.

The air bullets and ice needles bounced off, but Yuji was confused. He weaved hand seals while retreating behind and analyzing, 'What is he planning? Rotation may protect him, but it slows his speed down. He can't chase me unless he stops the jutsu. But if he stops it, he'll be hit by the air bullets and ice needles. Not to mention, I'm not exactly helpless.'

In another surprising move, Hoka stopped his rotation mid-way and continued moving towards Yuji. As he did, Hoka's entire body turned black. Sayaka and Takeshi's barrage hadn't ended yet. Hoka dodged as much as he could but was hit several times. Thanks to the Iron Skin jutsu, their attacks failed to harm Hoka much.

Yuji thought, 'Let me see what you plan on doing now!'

Yuji fired countless Lightning arcs from his fingertips. Initially, the spread over a large area, before converging on Hoka, to ensure Hoka couldn't side step the jutsu and continue coming after him.

Yuji smirked, 'The Iron Skin jutsu is vulnerable to Lightning jutsus. Once I break your armor, you'll also be vulnerable to Sayaka and Takeshi's attacks. You have no option but to retreat now, Sensei. The situation will remain the same!'

Everyone else, except Fujin, thought the same. To their surprise, Hoka released more chakra from his chakra points, but didn't bother using Rotation. Instead of retreating, he moved straight into the countless lightning arcs!

Dozens of lightning arcs landed on Hoka's body. Even though his chakra reduced the strength of the Lightning arcs, the Iron Skin jutsu crumbled and he was electrocuted multiple times every second! Even so, Hoka gritted his teeth and continued moving forward.

Without the Iron Skin jutsu, Hoka also became vulnerable to Sayaka and Takeshi's attacks. By maneuvering his body to the limit, Hoka dodged most of their attacks. Unfortunately, even with his skills and speed, dodging everything was impossible. Several bullets and needles grazed past his body, opening several small cuts and further amplified the Lightning torture.

However, he had achieved his objective. He was just a meter in front of Yuji! Chakra gathered on his right palm as he targeted Yuji's abdomen. However, before he could reach him, an ice mirror suddenly started forming between them!
