Chapter 661 : Two Lunatics!

“Toad Sage??? More like Pervy Sage…” Naruto commented instantly. Jiraiya, who was holding a cool pose, slipped due to being caught off guard by such an immediate reply.

Fujin chuckled and added, “Hmm, Pervy Sage… That is more appropriate. I'm surprised no one ever called you that before.”

Jiraiya dispelled the summoned toad while sighing, ‘The young generation has no respect… Who'd dare to call me that?’

Before he could say anything, Naruto asked again, “Can he really teach things you can't teach me?”

Fujin replied with a smirk, “Well, he might be a pervert, but he is one of the strongest ninjas in the world.”
Naruto's eyes widened as he exclaimed, “One of the strongest ninjas in the world?”
Fujin nodded and said, “Yup. Remember Orochimaru?”
Naruto nodded. How could he forget someone who trashed them so brutally?
Fujin replied, “Just like Orochimaru, he is one of the three Great Sannin, the shinobi trained by the Third Hokage.”

Naruto's eyes widened once again as he looked at Jiraiya in shock. Jiraiya grinned thinking, ‘Not bad, I guess I have some reputation left.’
Unfortunately for Jiraiya, Naruto exclaimed instantly, “No way! How did someone trained by Grandpa Hokage become such a pervert?”

Fujin chuckled and said, “And, the mighty Fourth Hokage was also his student. Perhaps you might learn about how to become a Hokage from him. Are you still unsure whether you want to learn from him?”

Naruto's mouth opened wide, his jaw nearly falling to the ground! He wondered, ‘What crazy world is this? How come a pervert is so cool???’

Jiraiya was finally satisfied with Naruto's reaction. He asked teasingly, “So, do you want to train under me or not? Maybe I should look for someone else to train.”

Wasting no time, Naruto smiled and said, “Hehehe, of course I want to train. I was just messing around earlier. I would love to learn from the great sage!”

Jiraiya's eyes twitched as he thought, ‘Such a shameless brat… He's more like me than Minato!’

Fujin smiled as well and said, “Good. I'll leave Naruto to you. Look after his training to supercharge jutsus as well. As you saw earlier, he'll need some time to master it.”

Jiraiya nodded and said, “Don't worry, I will.”
Fujin nodded in response and walked away as he said, “Good luck, Naruto.”
Naruto nodded when he realized that he was still holding the kunai. He asked, “What about this kunai?”
Without turning around or stopping, Fujin replied, “Keep it. You might need it. Throw it at him if you see him peeping again. If you need more, feel free to ask.”

Jiraiya looked annoyingly at Fujin but Fujin disappeared before he could say anything. He muttered internally, ‘Sensei didn't say that he was so troublesome…’

At the same time, Naruto looked suspiciously at Jiraiya and wondered, ‘He'll peep on girls while we are training? And I have to stop him with such powerful kunai? Ugh, who did you leave me with, Fujin???’

Unfortunately for Naruto, it was too late for him to back out. Fortunately for him, Fujin was just messing around as he wanted some entertainment for himself.

Fujin stepped in front of his door and was about to open it when his hand stopped. He glanced behind him. Moments later, an Anbu Guard appeared behind him and said, “Lord Hokage wants to see you right away.”

He disappeared as quickly as he appeared. Fujin thought, ‘That's strange… Was he waiting for me to hand Naruto over to Jiraiya? Or is it just a coincidence? Besides, why would he need me right now? The sword shouldn't have arrived yet…’

Fujin flickered a few times and reached Hiruzen's office. Hiruzen and Shikaku were the only ones there. As soon as Fujin entered, the Anbu Guards left and sealed the room. Hiruzen smiled and said, “Fujin, come here and sit.”

He pointed to the chair next to Shikaku's. Fujin sat down and said, “The only time you tell me to sit is when something important has happened. What is it?”

Fujin still recalled the first time Hiruzen asked him to sit down. It was after his squad was trashed badly by Kumogakure. That day, Huruzen informed him about Jiraiya killing around 250 Kumo ninjas and the rumors circulating about him in the Land of Lightning! He tried recalling whether something major happened during this time but couldn't recall any such information from his memories.

Hiruzen chuckled and said, “Nothing has happened until now. However, something will happen soon. And, you'll be the one to do it.”
Fujin raised an eyebrow and asked, “What do you mean?”
Shikaku answered, “He means that you'll be going to the Land of Lightning to kill a few Kumogakure ninjas.”

Fujin was stumped. He muttered, “Aren't we facing a threat from Orochimaru and possibly Sunagakure? Why are we making a move against Kumogakure?”

Fujin couldn't make any sense of it. He wondered, ‘Did Raikage make any weird moves during this time? No, that shouldn't be it. I would have remembered it. Is it something else or did he make a move because of my existence?’

Before Fujin could make any more wild guesses, Shikaku explained to him how they baited and captured the spies, took over the spy networks of Kumo and Iwa and were about to cause both Kumo and Iwa quite a bit of pain.

The more Fujin listened, the more speechless he became. He thought, ‘What in the fucking hell? When did these two become lunatics? We are about to be attacked by our only major ally and a troublesome rank S ninja who has his own minor village and these two are planning to make a move against the two villages equal to us in power instead of making any contingencies about the matter at hand?’

He couldn't help but sigh aloud and muttered, “Your plans are absurd. Too absurd... However, why do such absurd plans make perfect sense?”

Both Hiruzen and Shikaku chuckled, knowing why Fujin reacted in such a way. Wanting to understand how much Fujin figured out, Hiruzen asked, “Why don't you answer that question yourself?”

Fujin answered, “Common sense says that we should focus on Suna and Orochimaru. As long as we endure their scheme without losing any strength while making them pay dearly, no other village will dare to attack us. However, if we suffer heavy damage, then Kumo will make a move and Iwa will follow even if we didn't do anything to offend them.

With this move, Kumo's war readiness will suffer and they will think several times before making a move even if we are weakened. Without Kumo, Iwa won't make a move either. Even if they end up making a move, Kumo's forces would be weaker and Iwa would lack intelligence and will have to face the armies of Kusa and Taki before they reach us, giving us some room to maneuver.

Snapping Fujin out of his thoughts, Shikaku said, “Once the decoy unit lures the Fourth Raikage and Killer Bee, you'll follow this attack route to eliminate the bases one by one. We'll contact you once the Raikage reaches the intended spot using the Chakra Transmission Communication device. You can make your move then. However…”

Shikaku paused for a couple of seconds before continuing, “While I and Lord Hokage agree on nearly every aspect of this plan, there is one aspect where we have different opinions.

Each base has at least a hundred ninjas. You'll have to kill every single one without allowing even one to escape. While I don't doubt your strength, doing this alone is extremely difficult.

I am of the opinion that you should lead a small force of 25, 50 or 100 ninjas to the Land of Lightning to assist you in this attack. However, Lord Hokage believes that you'll be better off going there by yourself.”
