January 2024 - Life Update!

Hey guys! Thanks for sticking around. Here's a little update & some news. 

2024 has already been filled with surprises and new adventures–in the works–which I can't wait to share when the time is right.  Let's just say it has something to do with documenting a Non-Profit adventure that Joy and I are trying to start.

But I'll wait till April to tell you about it, after we have completed our first mission. ;)

So, what else have I been doing? 

Well, I'm working a strange job (for 1 day a week) and I'm not really sure how much longer it will last. But it keeps consistent revenue coming in for now. And it's kinda fun... kinda.

I've been also trying to hire an amazing editor for my new Youtube channel (Province Smile) because I have been spending 3 to 5 days editing each video and it's starting to feel like a bad use of my time. Plus, I'm really starting to see that my career is transitioning into more of a producer or art director type job, than a working artist. Maybe it's just because I'm in my late 40's now and I can't see myself being chained to a creative desk very much longer if I can help it. I still love being creative, just not the one doing ALL THE WORK. 

But honestly, most of my focus is going towards our new Non-Profit idea, which is growing legs fast. And if it works like I believe it will, then it might turn into my new career. :) 

In the meantime I do have some new comic news for you but it's probably not what you wanted to hear. haha

Some of you know I've been partnering with Macroverse.com for the last 2 years to try to release NFT versions of my comics. Mostly because it's just a cool experiment, but also because reMIND, Phobos and Sithrah are pretty much sold out now and so I like the idea of making a digital version that could potentially last until the universe implodes.

So Macroverse just released the Collectable Digital version of reMIND and if you have no idea what that means then you can watch this video that we made to show you how to collect and read a digital (blockchain) comic.

COGNITIVE DRAWING UPDATE

If you have been holding off buying a copy of Cognitive Drawing then you might want to order it sooner than later because I will NOT be reprinting them anymore and my distributor only has about 250 copies left in stock before they are sold out. They usually sell about 50 copies of each book every month so I expect them to be sold out by the end of this year.

I might make a POD version for Amazon after they sell out but it will definitely be a cheaper quality book if I do that.
