Scary times! - 8/1/25

OK so, been a while since my last status report. Long story short, I had my wisdom teeth removed very recently so I've been recovering for the past couple weeks, basically. I'm healing up fine and am nearly ready to get back into the swing of things!

(Thinking I'm gonna do a fun lil stream to get back into it where I'll ask y'all for prompts and then quickly design characters based on said prompt)

Now, I'm sure y'all are wondering about the state of Sihai following the scary Itch.io drama. I know at this point they're trying to go back on it, but the fact remains that we can simply have the rug swept out from under us at any given moment. It's very stressful to think about, but a very sad reality too.

That said, I have no plans to stop making Sihai. I know I may take a while to get where I'm going and I can have issues focusing at times, but this is my passion project and I want to see it through to the end. I want to tell Alex's story, Jehu's story, Paul and Shen and Alan's story, Jorge's story, Ohm's story, Eric's story- I want to finish everything off and tell the story I want to tell. No ridiculous payment processor is going to change that.

Of course, if Patreon goes down then we're in hot water... but I'll try not to think about that right now.

In light of these changes, I have some changes I'll be making, particularly to the Sihai's Legacy discord server. Though a relatively private server has been nice, if I want to have a more reliable place to build a community then I will have to open it up to the general public.

I'm not doing this immediately, since there's a lot of work that'll need to be done to get the discord rando-ready, but expect for the server to be made into a public facing one when I get back into the swing of proper updates.
