Alan - 1/23/25

Hi! I said a little bit ago that I was toying with Alan's story, character, and what have you- or that I would be. I'm here to shed some more light on that now!

After getting stuck again and again, trying to "fix" what I felt was wrong with his route and character and failing, I decided to go full nuclear on his route. Or, well, close enough.

Alan's personality has been fully reworked, and his design has changed accordingly. To describe him in a single word, he's earnest. He's also moved positions- now, instead of working at a restaurant, he'll be taking up a spot near his dad, Barry, in the Archives.

Here's a look at him now:

I don't want to spoil too many things about his upcoming rework, but I will say that his nerdiness has been amplified quite a bit.

Additionally, I've compiled this picture here to show the side characters that I currently have plans for in Alan's route. His supporting cast, if you will.

(It also shows how tall Alan's become. He's actually taller than Jehu now, if you'd believe it!)

Lastly, but importantly, I don't remember exactly if I've said what I plan on doing for his route, but I'll say it here:

With Paul's next update (which will be a normal update, albeit featuring some large-scale changes to Paul and his personality as previously mentioned), the intro to the game will be updated once again to account for this reworked Alan. This includes the first three days, but no further.

After Paul's update launches, I'll be going back to the monthly schedule except for the fact that it'll be all Alan. Basically, until Alan is all caught up again to the other routes, it'll be his route getting updated month by month. This is because I'm 100% completely rewriting his route from the ground up.

It's a big change, but (unfortunately) one that I feel is necessary. I hope I you all will enjoy the new Alan!
