Absolutely agree with you that animation styles and artistry is what helps enable story telling which is why I think Spider-verse was fundementally failed as a piece of media. Because you cannot make a story that says everyone is equal, we all have our own powers and deserve a chance, then include so many strobe effects and pink/blue light contrasts that they LITERALLY had to put signs up on the doors of cinemas telling people with photosensitive Epilepsy not to enter if they didn't want to have a seizure (and die). Sorry. Really pissed off that nobody outside the community ever talks about that and I am tired of having to constantly hold my tongue. You can also add how easily everyone forgave Pixar for Incredibles 2: a film so dangerous that the version they showed in the USA was LITERALLY ILLEGAL to show in the UK.
