Added 2021-03-27 00:58:35 +0000 UTCRecently, I've watched a talk by Bethesda regarding level design, and it blew my mind how I've been approaching modularity in a completely wrong way. What they teach is so much more practical than what I've been doing. So for the entirety of April, I'll be working on building my own Atlantica kit, which I'll be sharing here with everyone in the Full Access tier, so you too can build your own Atlantica or your custom cities with ease. Progress updates will be posted on Discord, while Patreon will only receive the finished kit.
I've also been watching Matthew Gafford livestreaming his animation process for episode 02 of A Fox in Space. He converted to using 100% Blender in his entire process. Drawing the characters directly on the background. This allows him to instantly know how the scene will turn out and also apply all the same color corrections and lighting effects from the background onto the characters. I like that idea and will spare me the extra work too, so I'll also be taking some time to learn that.
In the mean time, character concepts and scene concept art will be done on the side. Stuff I will want to experiment with right away. This also includes a possible species change for one of the characters, but more on that later as this isn't final.
