Calling someone "ahjumma" or "ahjussi" doesn't necessarily mean they are related. I don't think we have proper English translations for these words aside from "aunty" and "uncle." 🤔 anyway, these terms are used to refer to older ladies/men, particularly when they seem older than someone you would consider as an "unnie/noona" or "hyung/oppa".. i hope that makes sense? 😅

The dad wasn’t lying about when he met the mom because the dad didn’t learn sign language until he was 20 after he had the accident that made him deaf and the mom obviously wasn’t allowed to sign at home and so she went to the Academy to also learn sign language and that’s where they met but because of Ha Eun Gyul, they met when they were 18 which is earlier than they were supposed to
