2025-11-10 22:08:56 +0000 UTCA new major theme of the story has been unlocked, which is the importance of family. Well there were already some elements here and there throughout the journey so far, but it culminated at this reunion between father and son. I hope you'll still have tissues ready for what's coming next from now on

2025-11-10 20:52:02 +0000 UTCSeason 2 will have scenes like this that will break you and make you cry as well. The lightnovel goes deeper in to what Paul actually went through though. Which I hope you get a chance to read one day because they are really worth reading

2025-11-09 19:47:40 +0000 UTCI think these last two episodes really kinda surprised me with a lot of the emotional depth and character writing, but you brought up a good point i find really interesting. Rudy experienced a pretty severe trauma at a very early age in school, and then basically never left his room again afterwards. Trauma alone can drastically stunt someone’s growth, but then being shut in a room and never socializing or experiencing anything prevents you from mentally progressing. Kinda explains a lot of his childish behaviors throughout the early bits of the show and hopefully leads into steady growth going forward. It’s like his mental state is more in line with his current physical self than the memories he has of a past life.

2025-11-09 18:23:41 +0000 UTCIn the novels, the 2 girls with Paul have a backstory. One has a trauma with getting attention from guys and covers herself up. The other girl is her best friend and wears overly revealing clothes to draw attention away from the other one.

2025-11-09 15:45:13 +0000 UTCI think it's completely true that Paul was expecting too much from Rudy. On top of that he has been searching relentlessly for his family and is constantly filled with the anxiety of finding them as slaves or dead. However, in the novels you get a lot more detail of how ridiculously talented Rudy is. Both Paul and Zenith felt like Rudy was guiding them most of the time. Take the time Paul slaps Rudy for fighting off slyphies bullies, the next time something happens Paul makes sure to control his anger and get Rudy's side of the story first. In no small way Rudy pushed his parents to grow as adults. We obviously know that that's because he's lived another life, but to Paul, Rudy could do anything. Paul has almost never seen Rudy just be a kid and he only saw him grow to 7 years old. It was still wrong of him to react the way he did and throw so much weight on Rudys shoulders but Paul had a super human image of Rudy in his head. This is the first time he really gets to see him as "my boy" and not just Rudeus.

2025-11-09 15:16:23 +0000 UTCThis episode is one of, if the not the best of the series, the way they make you sympathize with a character like Paul, showing that humans are flawed. Paul’s made a lot, and I mean a lot of mistakes. But deep down he cares for his family and would do anything for them. Even when he needs someone like Geese to tell him to stop being stupid, and sober the hell up.
