i kind of want his mother to show up and him to not recognise her at all, and them all to realise he really doesn't remember at this point. the confusion would be funny.

2026-03-19 15:24:15 +0000 UTCI doubt it was Lady Marlow that poisoned Thomas. At least not directly. The cookies were supposedly his 'favorite' and were signed with "You-know-who". If it were a mother sending her son his favorite cookies (doubtful already considering they supposedly weren't anything special and the fact that she had him exiled), not only would the Original Thomas Marlow have been very unlikely to eat them and thus foil the poison attempt, but she might as well have signed her name then because there would be no other way to interpret who the 'favorite' cookies were coming from. More likely the cookies came from a 3rd party, probably from whichever shady underworld group the Original Thomas used to rub shoulders with during his disgraceful period. Maybe they wanted him dead to silence him in case he tried to barter back his return in exchange for information, or maybe someone made them an offer to make them betray him. I honestly would have said they were probably originally weed cookies, which is what made them his 'favorite' originally and he thereby wouldn't have expected the poison instead, but Cam said last chapter he'd never even thought of people the cookie part as that, so dunno. Maybe they were just REALLY good cookies.

All to Trojan horse her way into his life only for it to backfire on her when she accidentally falls for him ( makes me wonder how relentless potential influences relationships? After all he never gave up on Camilla and she has seemed to caved almost spectacularly, woman is so conflicted. After all so long as he doesn't give up he should improve whatever he is working towards)
