Relentless Potential Ch. 3 (Original Fantasy)

Even if he did poison his older brother, I feel sympathy for the OG Thomas...sounds like he was left-handed naturally and maybe dyslexic or had a learning disability, but wasn't developmentally challenged. Definitely huge handicaps in a world that has zero clue about stuff like neurodivergence, so him basically deciding to be a slacker or black sheep to embody the labels being applied makes sense. As for who is at the door? Eloise.. and she's here to be proactive in "paying" for her father's continued ability to renain in his home.

2026-02-25 17:10:59 +0000 UTCI'm going to preemptively assume OG Thomas is an alright dude who got framed for everything bad that happened in his family and was the classic "disappointing second son" type.

2026-02-24 04:45:37 +0000 UTCI want more, bro needs to hunker down and start using his blessing to get swole AF. I get the feeling the setting is a Might makes Right setting, with blessings and all. Even if he didn’t do it, several people are gonna be gunning to kill him so he best mitigate that by pushing the boundaries and becoming superhuman. Imbibe bits of poison to the point he becomes immune, work out until he can wrestle a bear, swing a sword until he can cut a leaf with a stick and a mountain with a sword. Would be nice if the brother was actually a bro and cared for his little brother, give incentive to help wake him up and give the family a heir. Will here probably wouldn’t want to get mired in the dirty game of politics, especially if he goes down the Path to Power.

2026-02-24 00:42:14 +0000 UTCI hope he didn't do it and it turns out the mother did it to be with a lover or something like that.

2026-02-24 00:06:14 +0000 UTCIf Camilla views Thomas as a criminal who got away with attempted fratricide with no justice done, I can see her killing Thomas, but only if she is either certain of his guilt or certain that he is as bad as they say and as such would have/could have been behind his brothers poisoning.

2026-02-23 23:55:25 +0000 UTCPersonally I hope you go with the Thomas did it angle even if it never gets officially confirmed. Although, the diary is very much giving me "monsters are made, not born" vibes. I'll admit the whole " screw-up finally manages to do something 'right' but gets hoisted by his own petard because his reputation is just that bad" is actually quite compelling. Imagine the meticulous planning that must have gone into this for this monumental screw up to pull this off without leaving a single trace ( if he did in fact do it) and he gets blamed anyway 😅. Will be interesting to see if he can rise above this or if his family will drag him down for his perceived crimes. If anything sending him to the rot lands seems to be an attempt on his life all on its own by trying to weaponise his supposed incompetence to get himself killed in the boonies. If the mother does make an attempt on his life later I doubt it will be through Dame Camilla. She is a knight and they tend to be honorable types. No, if it happens it will be a group of bandits, mercenaries or assassins that will probably try to do the job.

2026-02-23 23:42:59 +0000 UTCSecond paragraph after the diary entry "find out what the original owner of this body had gone" -> 'done'. Interesting stuff, looking forward to more. This is the kind of story if there were 50 chapters of I'd spend a day or two catching up
