Do you ever feel like the universe loves to make you spend money, even when you’re the type who prefers saving? Well, that’s me! I love watching my bank account grow, but this month? It’s been a financial rollercoaster. My dad was in the hospital, and although I didn’t have to pay for the treatment, there were plenty of other expenses: fuel, food, and caring for my parents. On top of that, I’m working on fixing up my backyard garden, which drained me. Picture this: my money’s bleeding out, and it’s not pretty.

I’d planned to save up this month for my house extension, but with 200,000 Baht still needed, it’s feeling impossible. That’s like… how much in USD? I don’t even know anymore! On top of that, it’s hot as an oven in Thailand right now. My mom almost fainted from the heat, and I get it, because I’m literally breaking out in rashes. As someone who needs to take care of her skin, I had to buy another air conditioner to survive this madness. The cheapest one I could find was around 37,000 Baht (let’s round that to 40,000). I feel like crying. Seriously, my salary’s gone, and I had to dip into my savings.

Will I ever finish building my house? I don’t know!
