How do you feel about Nyct X?
Added 2025-02-17 23:37:15 +0000 UTCI've heard some very mixed feedback on it. Which is why I'm doing a poll to see if I should rework that part.
For context: Nyct X is not going to be used as a way to "force" scenes. It was rather an introduction to the overal plot. I might have portrayed that wrongly in the game, as I wanted the audience to know that Olivia is up to something and that Oogle Corp is more than it seems. It also seemed like an interesting way to kick-start the sharing relationship between Luke and Alice. After the events that happened in the beginning of Chapter 4, Luke felt he got himself involved into something way bigger than himself and at one point, he thought he was going to die. He wants to be honest with Alice and Alice wants to be open with Luke about their feelings.

not sure if you did state this specifically on one of the lines, but on too many occasions it came off just because of drug, if you get what im saying

There is a slight blur making it feel like evry1 is doing this solely due to the drug instead of its what they really want and the drug makes them brave enough to do it? this would go much more towards the NTS side instead of a drugged type vibe.

2025-02-18 11:23:09 +0000 UTCI actually thought Nyct X was a really cool addition that has the potential to set this game apart. With most NTS games it seems like once certain lines get crossed it's hard to reset the boundaries and slow tension/teasing that occurs leading up to it. This ends up killing what made the game enticing in the second half. With Nyct X you have a great story writing opportunity to have temporary lapses in judgement. Alice might cross a different line of while on Nyct X, but then you can re-up the tension by having conflict on whether or not that same line gets crossed without Nyct X in the future.
