GMTK - A big update
Added 2025-10-03 10:24:02 +0000 UTCHello Patrons!
Mark here. So, I wanted to share a big update about GMTK. And because it's important and personal I wanted to do it face to face - so please check out the video above.
Thanks!
Mark
TL:DW - I'm having a baby. I'll be taking the first three months of 2026 off to focus on that and won't be charging Patrons during that time. I'll be focusing on videos including Silksong Boss Keys before the end of the year.

2025-10-20 17:27:18 +0000 UTCI'm about a week late to this, Mark - October is a mountain for US-based academics this particular term - but congratulations! You are going to be a tremendous dad, I suspect. Enjoy the time off, and we'll all look forward to however and whenever you return to the fold.

2025-10-09 14:54:08 +0000 UTCfirst off, huge Congratulations of course! I am wondering if there's any structure that makes sense though where people can (as an opt-in) choose to keep their subscriptions active over those months? I respect the choice to pause payments for the months you'll be offline and I think it's the right one to make. But i'f i'm honest i hardly even look at most of the stuff posted on here, i'm just here because I want to support a creator who does amazing work, even if it's just my small bit, you taking those months off doesn't change that for me and if possible I'd 100% keep those few bucks a month going your way (as I am sure lots of other people would be happy to do as well)

2025-10-07 10:10:44 +0000 UTCCONGRATULATIONS!!!! I recognize so much of what you're saying in this update: the nerves, the excitement, the weird feeling that none of this is actually real yet. Two years later and it all does make a lot more sense, I promise. And the work/life balance does get there as well, as impossible as it may seem to begin with. Also, I took my son on the back of my bike around Brighton yesterday afternoon, stopping off at different parks he wanted to play in, then leaving when he decided he wanted to get back on the bike... and let me tell you, it was one of the best afternoons I've ever had. You've got all of that ahead of you as well :)

2025-10-04 20:20:06 +0000 UTCCongratulations! I don’t think anyone can really prepare you for the changes that come with becoming a parent; it’s just such a personally unique experience. My only advice is to be kind to yourself, forgive yourself if you feel like you’re doing it wrong/badly, and the biggest cliche of all - just try to enjoy it! Take loads of photos and videos! I’m looking forward to 2026 Mark with a few grey hairs!
