Hey Inna, Just to answer a few of your questions.... The black track runner that won the race was Jesse Owens. One of the few event winners that Hitler snubbed by not congratulating him after. Because he had beaten the "Superior" German runner. At 43:45 when you ask is the city that the Zepplin is flying over is New York... You are correct. The Germans made a lot of propaganda about how they had trans-Atlantic flights in what was very luxurious ships. More on why this stopped in a moment. Right after we go to the big gathering where you ask if they are in the Olympic stadium. They are not. They are in Nuremburg. Those are shots of the Nuremburg Rally. Afterwards they briefly show the Zepplin burning. That is the crash of the Hindenburg. (They show the Hindenburg earlier in the film) Since they were filled with Hydrogen (which is EXTREMELY flammable) when it caught fire it was completely consumed in a matter of minutes with a complete loss of life of all aboard. It was at this point that Zepplin travel ceased to be a thing and the Germans just quietly forgot they ever claimed it as an accomplishment. The Phony War did not have anything to do with telephones, but rather refers to the lull in major hostilities from the declaration of war in Sept until the invasion of France and the low countries. A period of about a year. Compiegne is the town in France where the allies forced Germany to accept and sign the armistice for the Great War. Hitler then used the same train car when he forced the French to surrender. A slap in the face as it were to the French and another point in their humiliation. I want to finish with what is just MY opinion on the war in Europe. I am very happy that Hitler was there and in the position he was. I AM NOT SAYING THAT I APPROVE OF HITLER AND HIS MESSAGE! I am saying that because he was stupid, insane and narcissistic the allies had a far easier time than what could possibly have happened. His early success gave him a over inflated opinion of his abilities and so provided the allies many opportunities to overcome defeats and win. He was after all only trained in military tactics up to the rank of corporal. Basically the level of being in charge of 10 men or so. His generals tried their best to run the war strategically, but he constantly interfered with bad ideas and would then insist that he was always right no matter what the evidence. If he was not in that position I think we would have seen fighting more in line with what we saw in the Pacific theater. Which was a war run by competent military commanders. And we could have quite possibly lost the war entirely.

Hello inna, in this film we have seen a lot of historical important footage and clips from movies of the time. I personally already have seen all the parts used in this film (most moe then once). And every time I feel the dread and horror these films show and what it led to. A number of times you commented on the footage shown wondering what we were seeing and why. It would take me a lot of time to write down all the ... very ... important moments and events we have seen. So, instead of writing it down I gladly share my knowledge and insights to you whenever you would like in any form you like.
