Mermaids are some of the most dangerous water-dwelling preds out there. They are fast, cunning, and are predominantly driven by instinct. Merciless, ravenous, and they seem to live for the immense satisfaction of a full belly.

Pictured here, this mermaid is drinking in that very sensation. Her heavy, nutritious meal is just about done struggling, and has asphyxiated. The poor girl had no idea what just happened to her.

In the blink of an eye, she found herself pulled under the water's shimmering surface, and greedily swallowed whole. Three powerful gulps, and she was gone. There was no time to process anything. All she had chance to focus on was the sudden dark, a sensation of unbearable tightness, and how she could no longer draw breath.

Her bulging form settled into place along the mermaid's proud tail, and thanks to its semi-translucent flesh, the girl could make out some blobs of light and shadow from within the stomach, but not much else. She wriggled and writhed in blind panic for a good few minutes. She was the fun kind of prey, full of energy and strong survival instinct. It didn't help her any though, it just made for more stimulating squirms~ ❤

Now the mermaid gets to sink back to the murky depths, or perhaps sunbathe on a nearby secluded rock above the water's surface, and give her delicious catch time to melt into milky moosh.

...It won't take very long. Soon, it will be time to hunt again~...!
