July 2019 Schedule

Luckily, the days where new uploads take place are still set, and have green check-marks above :) Tomorrow Sunday the 28th there will still be a new picture loaded, and on Wednesday the 31st there will also be a new pic! More on that below:

This weekend I've been practicing my drawing style, both in the standard colorized approach, and a more casual "sketchy" look. That sketching style has been a huge challenge for me to hone. I always tend towards neat and tidy in a drawing, but certain scenes benefit from a rougher look.

A comfortable sketching style would also help me churn up casual ideas more often. Some of these personal ideas have been sat on for a long while. My recent facehugger upload is an example of one such idea. While some of those would definitely benefit from a full-on color and shading, most of them would work just fine in a more traditional aesthetic, closer to pencil-on-paper.

I've already put a good bit of work into that new sketchy pic, and I plan to have it up by the 31st. If I happen to finish it earlier, there will be two uploads tomorrow instead, followed by a third sketch on that Wednesday >:3

The main upload for tomorrow will be the previous 50-Patron raffle winner's idea. It involves two nagas, and standard full color, of course c:

My sincere apologies again for cancelling a stream once more. I feel I'm very close to finally having all my ducks in a row. My upcoming projects are more appropriately prioritized, and next month should shape up very nicely from the get-go. This includes finally getting active in the Discord group again ❤ (I'll publish an invite link to it for all the new Patrons next month!)

The next stream should be coming up on Saturday the 3rd of August, which will revolve around more catch-up work for a start, then the Monday after that will be the month's first poll :D More on this again in the calendar for August.

I am sorry about missing last Sunday's chance for an upload. The last two weeks took me by surprise.

A sequence of things, primarily in my day-job, strung me out more fiercely that I could understand at first. Until recently, I was very dissatisfied with every drawing, obsessing over only the "flaws". This is mainly why I fell so far behind on uploading new stuff to Eka's Portal and elsewhere. My whole outlook had slowly turned confoundingly bleak.

I feel I have a much better handle on things now, though. A healthier attitude toward my work and things in general is a crucial start :) It's important that a drawing is pleasant to look at, but taking it too seriously doesn't help.

The lesser first half of this month is marked in grey, and all the events I'm working towards are filled into the remaining days.

I sincerely hope you like the two new drawings :D These are what I worked on this weekend, and next Saturday will be time to finally livestream again!

As a hopefully interesting addition, I've attached a more vanilla pic to this calendar upload, drawn at the height of my melancholy. I don't normally share my "ordinary" pics (mostly because I draw lewds so much more often), but I liked this one enough. It's the first idea that came to mind one evening, and quite clearly too, so I put it down without overthinking it. Bonus head-pats for you if you can tell what airplane that is (*^,^)
