Gerudo Gut

Link is a brave warrior we all know and love. If he's not breaking jars, he's off fighting all manner of hungry beasties, while scaling daunting heights, or exploring impressive landscapes. His noble quest never ends.
Understandably, it takes a lot of energy for Link to go about his day. This is especially true when his weapons keep breaking, and Link has to routinely find and equip new ones..! (wink wink, Nintendo >;3)

All this adventuring burns calories, and fast! Link's food therefore has to be easy on his tummy, melting into moosh as soon as possible. That makes someone like Toby the ideal prey... <3

At this time, Link's on a covert mission you may be familiar with. It requires him to convincingly look like a girl. Lucky for Link, he boasts naturally graceful proportions and features, but, it's not exactly lady-like to have a loud tummy, groaning and grumbling from hunger. He's gonna need to eat something, or someone, to calm his insides down...

Toby, like all bunny-prey, is merely one of a vast many. They mate and procreate fast, so they're basically everywhere. It wasn't at all difficult for Link to pop out and go find one. (Un)fortunately for Toby, he was the first bun-bun to be stumbled upon~... o3o;

Link is a strong, capable warrior, so he subdued his wriggling meal without breaking a sweat. Then, after only a few strained gulps, and muffled whimpers, Toby was swallowed up, completely, whole and alive >///<
But... such a disgraceful belly! Look at it, bulging and squirming, making such lewd gurgles and churns. Link could never pass off such a shameful gut as a pregnancy.

No problem though, he won't let his cover be blown. All he needed to do was slink away and crash someplace secluded and private. All alone with himself and his sloshy tummy, Link could spend his evening rubbing and kneading his busy, bloated stomach, before settling into a nice, long sleep to work Toby's nutritious body down.

Bunny-prey's super easy to digest. They're like a beginner prey. Plentiful and disposable. When link wakes up, he'll have his usual slender, toned figure back <3 Until then, there's lots of belly-rubbing and messy churning to do...! =^ o ^=

A drawing for Bloodle8 in a recent Patreon livestream C: I like the idea of prey that's otherwise common, reproduces really fast and is humiliatingly easy to eat. It plays into their implied "disposable" nature e//3//e Bloodle8's Toby, at least in this case, is no exception~

I'm very happy with the way Link's proportions and features, as well as Toby's pose turned out o//v//o I payed extra close attention to the reference material this time, and I'm relieved it payed off so darn well.

But, I still have this bad habit of over-refining a project... hence why this, and the next drawing called "Gurgling Strip-Show" are in full-color :P
Initially I set out to make these latest two pics very sketchy in appearance, with some simple hard-shading to add depth. At least this time I think I realized what my mistake was.

While I thought I was taking that rough-aesthetic approach, I was conforming to my constructions too strictly. After not too long, I start rationalizing with myself.
"Well, the linework turned out so neat, might as well touch up the shading a bit."
Then when the shading's really fine-tuned,
"It's a shame to not add SOME color now".
Half-way through, I figure
"Since I'm already making an effort, I might as well do it properly...!"

This time, I gave in and did just that >w<; A national holiday here granted an extra day off (from my day-job) to indulge in drawing, so why not. It's been a while since I've done a proper colorized pic anyway~

Another happy coincidence, both these last drawings ended up featuring male preds! <3 I really hope you like it :D Looking forward to hearing what you think!
