Squishy Worm

A fun little doodle I threw together before the last stream, as a warmup exercise =) That petite simpleton smooshed inside the worm... I wonder who that is? >ω> <ω< I mean, it's a worm. Surely it wouldn't be THAT tough to avoid~?
Well, doesn't look like the poor dear can wriggle himself back out again. Guess he'll just stew in there for a while ♥
Nyehehe~ For a more technical impression, the aim of this drawing was to make it as fast as I could manage.
As many elements as possible were done on a single layer. The worm's white fill also accommodates all the shading on that same layer :p Considering this was made in two hours at most, it's another step in the right direction.
I feel was still paying too much attention to the finer details in the linework. The lines ended up rougher in appearance, but perhaps lacking in substance on their own.
That's the eventual goal, where I can confidently draw something that looks good as just lineart, without necessarily needing extra shade effects.
What I remember worked before, was treating my tablet's stylus more like I would a pencil. Shorter, multiple strokes, passing over a given section of line as often as needed. That may yield a more organic feel to it all. Gonna give that a spin again in the next quick drawing I do, see if I can relax and streamline things further =3
