Doomsday Lamia
Added 2018-02-04 18:47:33 +0000 UTCLegend tells of an ancient city, long since razed, whose society worshiped among others, a malevolent goddess. One of infinite appetite, and a burning need to consume all the world's creatures.
This drawing captures only some of the voracious carnage on that long-lost city's day of reckoning. The ancient goddess Apophra descended upon this unsuspecting metropolis, to consume each and every living soul, whole and alive. The panicked citizens, in one last, desperate chance at survival, called upon the entire remaining hierarchy of demi-gods they so faithfully worshiped, to take a stand and defend their bustling home. To their dismay, not a single goddess could hope to best the crazed, insatiable might of Apophra's food-lust. They were all just stubborn, squirming meat in her eyes, only good for stuffing her massive, superior body.
The city's ruins have been almost completely eroded today, but the legend of that almighty naga lives on. Some say, if you listen carefully enough on a quiet, peaceful morning, you can still hear the faint, far-off gurgling and grumbling, of a goddess still digesting the godly mass of that faithful day's divine catch~...
