Somehow Betina (the former Mrs Casablancas, who abandoned her sons) comes across as the better parent from this bunch of abusive lunatics. I did say the Mannings were somethin' else! Obviously, this is what I was thinking of beyond their initial confrontation with V and Donut at the hospital (when we saw Grace for the first time) a few episodes back. And using God in their abuse is next level horrific but also... happens all the bloody time in the real world. I love that Deb (the soon to be former Mrs Hauser) was excited for her date with Deputy Sachs 🥰 Fuckin' Madison is back (I miss Mac) 😔 Hurt people hurt people, as the saying goes. Sheriff Lamb is officially no longer a one dimensional character, there's something deeper to him now (it's very much the same reveal we got with Logan in S1 but is still as affecting). Neptune has an epidemic of family abuse. And it affects the rich and poor alike 😢 Once again, the timing of my re-reading the VM books is eerie AF!

I love that we actually get a bit of an insight into his character here. It's definitely concerning how all the families Veronica babysat for had so many warning signs even if the situation Meg was writing about wasn't about any of them.
