2025-02-16 02:09:17 +0000 UTCOne of the most brilliant of the many inspired choices this series made in this season was the resolution of the "future baby" ongoing plot. In the end, very realistically, Cam and Mitch decide to take a break from their efforts for a while... but it would be a letdown to leave it there after we've been waiting through the season... but wait! we're still going to get a new baby, just not where we expected! And as you say, it opens up all kinds of potential now, with Jay facing fatherhood of an infant, decades after the last time he did it. It's good to be reminded what a smart series this was.
