Again Dick is trash so no defending him. He is actually my least favorite character with Madison in season 1 but it’s never okay to drug anyone. I don’t care for the teenager excuse. The fact that Veronica didn’t even blank an eye to that reveal will always upset me. That’s nice that Logan has remorse but poor Duncan was still drugged. I felt if Duncan was a woman instead of a man then probably it would be viewed different. “I have my girl a drug to losen her up cause she was depressed.” It just doesn’t work for me…. And this is not even me being woke since I felt this way when I first watched this episode in 2005… It’s just one of the things I just sort of wish the writers didn’t write and so like how Veronica didn’t even seem to care… it didn’t seem in character to me. Again it’s okay for you to have your opinion but for me all these years later my mind has remained unchanged; if anything I’ve become more firm on this. Also I still like Logan but just had an issue here regardless of his age.

2025-02-12 07:10:01 +0000 UTCI look at it as Logan did a really stupid thing in drugging Duncan... he was in the wrong... but his teen guy intentions were from a well meaning, though deeply stupid, place. But Dick's intentions are shown to be doubly vile... completely predatory... and yet fandom loves Dick. He is not held accountable. So I personally see no reason to be more exacting on Logan. Especially when he owned up on his part to Veronica, on his own. And I believe he truly viewed the liquid X as a euphoria rave type drug... not for date rape, like Dick. That's also the distinction that I think Veronica saw. But just my take.

Logan did a very stupid teen guy thing... but his intent was for Duncan to have a lightened up night. Because he'd been so burdened since Lilly's death. Still wrong, but he meant no actual harm. Dick on the other hand... intended to drug his girlfriend to have his way. Dick and his horrible behavior is where the real fault lies. It obvious that Logan just considered it to be liquid X for euphoria / raves... not for date rape. I think Veronica saw the distinctions. As for the end... Veronica is just jumping to conclusions at this point.

It was interesting knowing this episode was coming up when you talked about two episodes in a row with absouletely disgusting people last episode. It's pretty horrifying to think how many people just stood by and could have acted differently at the party to stop things from going the way they did with Veronica. But it was a really good episode! The unreliability of various points of view showing the events differently was really interesting. I'm so excited that you are about to reach the season 1 finale, really looking forward to your reaction 😄

This episode here finally made me feel the pain that Duncan Kane has been going through for all this time because he just came off to me as a boring one without much of a personality due to the pills obviously but when you see it from his point of view. The love of his life is Veronica and he is forced to just break up with her the second he finds out she's his sister and he just sort of isolates himself in the corner. Also, I love Logan.... however the fact that Logan didn't get slammed more for drugging his best friend is an issue to me... like how is this okay? If Dick did what Logan did, would we look the other way? Duncan could have been in his right state of mind to not have sex with Veronica that day. So Duncan was a victim here as well. Also, it was nice to see Veronica finally open up to Wallace about something! Wallace has been a great friend doing things without question so this was a good stepping stone for their friendship. Also, I love that for Veronica her call is Weevil! Also this episode sure explained a lot of stuff with the Kane family.... Anyway... I'll watch your reaction. lol I can't wait for this one.
