Rose Abdoo, who plays Gypsy, says that she plays her as gay and with a crush on Lorelai. The Paul thing isn't funny and I don't know anyone, except apparently Amy Sherman-Palladino, who thinks it is. She returned to write the revival after not being involved in Season 7, and I've heard she didn't watch it.
