I wish people wouldn't talk up episodes in advance. Not only is it a spoiler but also I think it's a major factor in why I found the first half really boring, struggled to pay attention, have felt unable to 'like' the episode for the first time in ages, am having to take a break before watching the second half, and was unable to prevent the thought 'just die already' from crossing my mind after Cole was shot (also, I like Shaw, but having skipped to the last scene to see when Finch and Reese would finally get lines, I found myself thinking 'wouldn't it be darkly hilarious if after all this focus her van blows up right now').
Maybe that, especially the last 2 bits, says more about me than it does about the episode. But maybe not. If I'd been able to go into it without having my expectations set, I might have been intrigued.

"I kind of enjoy this sort of thing.”
“I’m so glad you said that. I do, too.”
That scene is its own vibe.

Every episode of POI builds on the whole... weaving everything together. But there are certain episodes that are just such crucial pieces. Like Witness, or Firewall. This is also one of those really impactful episodes... seeing things from the current relevant side. And the badassery of Shaw.

Ah I wish you didn't know in advance how amazing this episode is but I understand why people get too excited and overshare. From the change in the credits alone to seeing the relevant side and Shaw's character, it's all such a fun ride.

I love Sarah Shahi & have been in love with her… wait, like decades at this point, lol! Any middle-aged queer woman like me probably fell in love with her when she was on The L Word back in the day. And her character here, Shaw, is just so undeniably awesome. Badass, talented, smart, cool, commands the screen, makes you want to know more. 🤐 no spoilers 🤐

I had the same reaction to "Michael Cole". Shaw was in a blue box because she was an asset to the Northern Lights/Relevant side of the Machine. This episode is worth all the hype. We get to see how the relevant side works while also just getting our numbers POV. I love we have no idea why they had Leon help. And of course the main event: Shaw. I love her. I'm so hesitant to say any more so I will end it here.
Edited to add: I imagine Finch was awfully nervous dealing with a situation involving Northern Lights/the relevant side.
