2024-10-23 04:30:31 +0000 UTCI was a huge XFs fan back in the day. Even got to visit the set in Vancouver several times. When it was in a groove, it was brilliant... but it had plenty of misses also. Personally, in looking back, I think its parts are greater than its whole. It also hasn't won the Pilot tier poll yet, whIle LOST did. But XFs is still an iconic show. I just feel LOST is timeless.

Lost is the closest show you're going to get to Once - some of the same writers, some of the same actors, several references, same structure. And there would also be some 'duck your head' moments. One of them in particular I'd be anticipating. For a more consistently fantasy genre show I'd also suggest Lost Girl.

2024-10-22 14:04:30 +0000 UTCI love X-Files but I think Merlin might be the one to really be a good replacement based on the style of the show. Both are great shows but Merlin based on what you are reacting to and based on the fantasy type element with the magic. Misfits is another show I would recommend but it's such a short series so that can be done outside of being a replacement. I am also not sure if you ever watched Smallville before but if you did not, you would LOVE the journey of that series.

Asides from these two, out of the pilots you've checked out recently some of my suggestions would be Ghost Whisperer, 9-1-1 and Castle. But I honestly think so many great suggestions are being made in the comments for this one that no matter which show gets picked it'll be great to see 😄

2024-10-22 13:31:22 +0000 UTCSo it's nothing like Charmed or any of these, but one day I'd definitely suggest the show This Is Us. It's so good! It's just about normal people, but it's probably one of the best shows I've ever seen. So definitely recommend that for some day.
