That makes so much sense! I was a teen (but in college already) waaaaaaay back when Shannen Doherty started on BH 90210, and I watched her on Little House on the Prairie - when it was on in Prime Time in the 70s! - so I'm in my early 50s now. Also watched Alyssa in Who's the Boss, and liked her, but Shannen was someone I'd dressed up as on Halloween (again, her 90210 character). I love learning that S6 is a fan favorite. It's making me go back and rewatch (with Liam) to see what I missed, because I honestly really like Drew Fuller. I'm a huge enough fan to have made my entire family deal with a visit to Halliwell Manor on an LA trip, so I'm hoping to fall in love with S6 this time around.

Completely agree with the Pheobe thing. I was a child when Charmed aired and never saw any of their previous work like that beach lifeguard one so i didn't really watch for the actors. I originally hated prue but as i got older i do like her more than pheobe thruout. 3 is probably my 3rd favorite season after 6 and 4.

Ah, I started watching the night it premiered because of Shannen Doherty, and Prue is my favorite character of the entire series. I like 3 best, then 2, then 4,5,1 and then... I just don't even rank the last 3! I have a really hard time watching the last 3 seasons (aside from a few cherry-picked episodes like the ones with Charisma Carpenter, etc), but more because it felt like the show became something completely different from it's original vision, and honestly, I don't like Phoebe's character arc through 6&7.

Season 6 is my favorite. I know theres a divide in the makers of the show itself and the fandom when it comes to overarching narratives but i think Season 6 is the best because of that point. Alot more focus on the "main plot". Its also why Season 1 and 2 rank lower for me. The only overarching narrative in those 2 are Leo and general learning powers stuff.

Id explain my logic more but itd b full of spoilers but yes 3 part is a stronger case, 2 is obvious. I can see an argument for 8 actually but thats pushing it imo.

I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of Charmed once S6 starts (I know, I've since learned that it's some people's favorite!), but I'll watch select episodes again with reactors. This is one of the S8 episodes I kind of enjoy. (I do love the way they end the show, though!)

That's not a characterisation I agree with (or have heard before). Maybe there is some overspill but it's more like 3 parts for me. And not enough for any of them to be watched together. Although I can see why someone might want to do 21 and 22 together (with a reaction section in between).
