I actually liked S9, esp the last three. Probably the best season finale of the middle five seasons. But S8 was better, to me, I agree. S10 is pretty good, but S11 is fantastic. Your right that solving the Deanmon issue isn't as cut & dry as it usually is. It's not like he's possessed. His soul became a Knight of Hell. ETA: Bernie Madoff was a high end investment scammer who created a pyramid scheme and cost many celebrities and famous people billions of dollars. Also, the Cubs line kills me every time I hear it, because they won the World Series after 106 years (aft this episode) in 2016 by beating my beloved Cleveland Indians (now Guardians).
