2024-07-09 16:40:12 +0000 UTCI was going to make this point during the Elias episode when you expressed surprise that he was locked up so quickly but thought I'd save it for this one. What I love about this show is how it has so many antagonists, each with their own goals and agenda. It fluctuates from time to time and sometimes enemies will be friends and sometimes they will be monsters (I'm thinking of Elias and the baby here as probably the best example) based on their own individual needs. It makes this world feel so real and lived in. It also means that as soon as the show feels done with one, it can cast them aside and shift focus to a different one. Or in the case of this finale, it can have multiple antagonists converge and put Reese into a tricky trap. This season, we've had the FBI and Donnelly, the CIA, HR, Elias, Alicia and the US government. Finally, we had Root, who showed up for one amazing episode and by the time we get to the finale, we've forgot all about her warning that she'd be back. It's a great twist and an incredibly good misdirect. It also makes for a fun reaction, I'm so glad you weren't spoiled about this.

I have typed a second thought here, deleted and reworded it, deleted again, etc. I want to say so much more, but I just absolutely cannot take the chance that I would say too much because this show is so good. It’s just… so good.

2024-07-08 22:14:13 +0000 UTCThis is how you close out a season. Everything got crazy,, Zoe popped up, wrapped up Carter/Fusco and set up a cliffhanger for next season. Root reveal was epic (been waiting for you to see this.) Reese outright talking to the Machine and the phone ringing was somehow more epic. Finch and Reese were both lovable asses to Fusco and Carter about not telling them about each other, but at least they finally know. It is like Elias only Root set it up, in Elias' defense he had no idea they'd show up for Charlie, he just took advantage of it.
