I absolutely love this episode, because apparently I like seeing characters I love in pain. Both Reese and that look on Finch's face in the hospital (great reveal.) If Reese had killed the Marshall I wouldn't have cared, but I understand Carter's prospective but even she is going further for Reese which is interesting for her character.

It's easier to spot in rewatches... but Jessica's photo appeared, as an irrelevant person, on Finch's machine screen in an early flashback with Nathan. In fact, Finch turns off the screen on her image... countering Nathan's concern about other people in danger. So extra guilt there. And it's nice to get the imp!ication that Jennings isn't the first asshole that Reese has stuck in a Mexican prison. Still enough ambiguity to not be entirely sure about the others... but enough to confirm Carter's faith.
