It's been 11 years since I first watched this episode and only now am I realising that the title is a triple entendre: Metatron is the great escapist, a powerful angel who has been indulging in escapism, holing up and reading books; escaping the angel wars; and also Cas is the great escapist as he keeps finding a way to outwit and elude angels chasing after the tablet.
