The Vampire Diares 4x12 "A View To Kill" Full Reaction

It's funny, I was anti-Rebekah when I first watched this show. With every re-watch (this is my 4th viewing), I feel more and more compassion for her. She IS a mean girl, cruel and vindictive, but we also see why and can empathize with her. When Elena daggered her in the back, with Rebekah all excited over the prospect of finally getting to be a young woman and enjoy a dance, I feel angry on Rebekah's behalf. Their reasoning wasn't even all that convincing, because they never gave Rebekah a chance. I wonder, if she had been drawn into their friend group -- for real, no fakery -- and really gotten to know Matt as a person, had actual true and supportive friends, how might she have become different? How might she have changed and grown?

Tbf they killed a line of vampires. Elena’s whole “moral compass personality” was killing innocents. These vampires have most likely already lived for hundreds and hundreds of years and likely not innocent anymore. While I get it’s hypocritical. Most of the time the original family has killed without remorse and that’s the difference me thinks

Miguel

I mean tbh her most prominent trait prior to being a vampire was being “moral” and trying to do good. So now that she’s a Vampire it’s impossible to be “moral”, but shes still trying, and due to the fact that everything is heightened, her self righteous personality is too. It’s actually really good storytelling fitting to her character. But I agree it can become annoying at times

Miguel

It's no wonder that Rebekah goes all 'mean girl' at times... she gets betrayed and daggered practically every other week. At least Stefan didn't go thru with it this time. When Elena told Stefan that Rebekah deserved it... I'm always like, why?! The bridge? Rebekah had valid reasons. And Elena already literally stabbed her in the back first. Rebekah just craves genuine loyalty and love in her life. I feel for her.

So true!

Still kinda baffles me to this day that Jeremy and Elena where able to kill Kol which killed an entire sire line kinda hypocritical to stand there saying Kol, Rebekah etc are terrible people when everyone in the show has done something bad in my opinion and I love Elena aswell but sometimes she just annoys me a little

Love the Damon- Klaus conversation this episode. Love how Stefan says il let you two have your villain bonding time lol. Klaus trying to understand from Damon how to make Caroline love him 😂 is so funny to me. I don't think he really thinks that Damon doesn't have his chance with Elena it's just that he wants his own answers concerning Caroline.

Andrea Dcosta

Yeah, I did have in the back of my mind the thought about what happens to those Kol has sired, as in "are we going to just overlook it".

It's really rotten that they didn't care one bit about taking out an entire sire line with Kol. If it affected their sireline, then heaven forbid anyone do that to them. Kol was problematic, but understandable from his perspective. Killing him, and however many others, was just unnecessary.

I love Rebekah sooo freaking much she's too adorable I hate the way Stefan and all of the gang treat her I know she's done bad stuff in the past who hasn't from our gang? All have killed Caroline. Damon Stefan Elena too anyways my heart broke for her this Ep she was so excited and happy for the party and her saying she wants to have kids be human wants a guy holding a boombox outside her window just totally broke me 💔 I'm so glad Stefan saw he was making a mistake and backed off or else I would have lost it I swear 😂

Andrea Dcosta

Self righteous Elena murdering many vampires nice one Elena Rebekah is right Elena is sometimes like a kid who is spoilt and only thinks of herself just hated this I like Elena but was so disappointed in this was so unnecessary and we didn't think twice with all the warnings Kol gave us? Why do we have to risk waking up Silas ? Is it gonna be easy? Hell no way now they better be prepared for some consequences for this 🤦🏽‍♀️

Andrea Dcosta

Omg yes! Kol’s death was so unnecessary. And kinda messed up considering they also killed off many innocent vampires too (through his sireline). It’s also super unrealistic for Elena and Jeremy to have been able to successfully pull this off considering how much older stronger, and more experienced Kol is.

Sam-I-Am

When Stefan saying that they didn’t have a choice but Stefan they did have choice they could have went with Klaus plan to dagger kol and kill other vampires
