I mean, at the moment, the situation is that we do have two TVDverse episodes a week and I know the Originals sometimes take that space, though I know sometimes there will be occasions where we will get 2x TVD for the week and I’m hoping to fill up some space potentially in September with a new show

Love the flashbacks TVD always has really good flashback eps. Paul looked so cute in the ancient Greek look. Quetsiyah seems like a badass love the actor she's so pretty. Also can we pls get 2 episodes of TVD each week like before? If you're ok to do that...

That fair and I don’t disagree. To be clear I don’t think dying over and over again has zero consequences - it HAS to impact your psyche - even Samantha Gilbert became a murderer but she didn’t take on a different persona entirely. I just think in Rick’s case he became an entirely different person because of Esther’s influence because she said as much.

I appreciate your perspective about the parallels with the cure and Elena’s blood for making hybrid’s but I think in terms of the eternity ring, Rick went mad because Esther was influencing him every time he went to the other side when he died - Esther told Elena as much when she turned Alaric into an original vampire - she needed him to be the perfect killer to rid the earth of vampires - that’s not to say that there won’t be somewhat of a personality change after so many times dying but I think Esther’s influence played a big part in where Rick actually got to
