It’s bad when Rory enables it. And she isn’t a good precedent herself. I think it’s stupid with Lor having to pointlessly hide this from Luke unless something did happen that we don’t know about

2024-08-04 08:56:06 +0000 UTCThis is one of those episodes where Lorelei shows how stunted she is, and how much she refuses to grow up. A grown-up in a healthy relationship would be honest. Even though I love her, flaws and all, I hate when she sets these examples for Rory.

Lorelai may not have played the role of 'woman of questionable morals' in public but she's playing it in private. I think Lorelai is desperate to maintain the wall she's spent years building between her self-made life and her background, so she builds it instinctively between Luke and Chris as well.
