As I said, the dynamic if Klaus and Marcel is great! So interesting! We see it from the start that Marcel seeks Klaus' approval, it's kinda subtle but it's there. And he constantly makes comments about learning things from Klaus. I've found he has a lot of both Klaus and Elijah's traits, you can really see he grew up around them. And Klaus' talk with Hayley at the end there. It makes it pretty clear that although he does wanna be "King" or whatever and have that power, the biggest thing for him is hurt that Marcel let him believe he was dead all this time. That he grieved for him for about 100 years all while he was alive and actually seemingly doing great. And I can understand why that would hurt so much. Of course there is the power stuff, with Klaus there's always gonna be issues regarding power, but more often than not his actions are actually fuelled by pain. The Marcel and Rebekah relationship is SO WEIRD though! She met him when he was like 10! And she was like 800... Her brother sees him as a son. She watched him grow up. Was teaching him stuff as a child! And then she fell in love with him...
